The Milwaukee Bucks can take a commanding 3-1 lead over the Atlanta Hawks in Game 4 of the NBA’s Eastern Conference Finals on Tuesday night.  The Bucks are 6-point road favourites to win on the NBA odds, as the Hawks could be without star Trae Young. The total is 221 points.

Bucks vs. Hawks NBA Playoff Odds

On the moneyline for Game 4, the Bucks are -239 and Hawks +199. Both the over and under 221 points are -110. With Milwaukee up 2-1, the Bucks are -2000 favourites on the series line and Atlanta +800. The favoured exact series score is Bucks in five at -139. The long shot is Atlanta winning the next three at +2500.

For the time being, Milwaukee is the -111 favourite to win the NBA title, just ahead of Phoenix (+110). Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo is the +120 NBA Finals MVP favourite.

Milwaukee is 5-2 against the spread in the past seven meetings. The under has hit in four straight in the series in Atlanta.

Milwaukee Bucks

Milwaukee was arguably outplayed for three quarters of Game 3 but dominated in the fourth by outscoring the Hawks 30-17 to win 113-102 for a 2-1 series lead. Khris Middleton finished with a playoff career-high-tying 38 points, including 20 in the fourth quarter when he outscored Atlanta by himself. He became the first Bucks player with 20 points in a fourth quarter of a playoff game over the last 25 postseasons. He also had 11 rebounds. Antetokounmpo (who was on the injury report with a calf injury) finished with 33 points and 11 rebounds. They became first pair of teammates ever to each record 30 points and 10 rebounds in three games within a single post-season. Milwaukee’s other three starters totalled just 19 points. The Bucks are 2-5 against the spread in their past seven as road favourites.

Atlanta Hawks

This writer predicted the Hawks to win Game 3; they were up 15 in the first quarter and led for much of the first three quarters. However, star guard Young injured his ankle on a freak play late in the third when said ankle landed on the foot of a referee, who was standing out of bounds. Young had to leave the game for a while and clearly wasn’t 100 per cent when he returned; 32 of Young’s 35 points came before the injury. Young is due for an MRI on Monday, so if he’s out then this series will be over in five games. That’s really the problem for the Hawks: They have just one All-Star-calibre player in Young and the Bucks have two. No other Hawks starter had more than 13 points in Sunday’s loss. Bogdan Bogdanovic, who is playing through his own injury, was just 3-for-16. For what it’s worth, the Hawks won Game 1 of the last round vs. the 76ers and then lost the next two before rallying to win the series in seven. Atlanta is 20-7 ATS in its past 27 at home.
