The Bulls return home after closing out a four-game road trip with a demoralizing 124-97 loss in Boston, and have failed to record an against the spread win while falling to defeat by an average margin of 16.2 points during their current five-game slide. Conversely, the Bucks will be looking to close the gap on the top of the conference standings with a fourth straight win on Thursday night. The Bucks travel to the Windy City after opening their two-game road trip with Tuesday’s 130-124 win in Miami to improve to 8-1 SU in their past nine games, and pull to within one game of the conference-leading Celtics.

The Bucks have vaulted to 8.5-point road favourites on the Thursday NBA odds. The Bulls trail as +275 NBA moneyline underdogs, while -115 odds favour the total going UNDER 227.5.

Bucks vs. Bulls NBA Betting Odds

The Bucks have dominated the Bulls during a three-game SU win streak in head-to-head action, claiming victory by an average margin of 11.3 points. That domination extends to recent matchups at United center, where Milwaukee has compiled a 14-2 SU and ATS record in 16 meetings since March 2016. Milwaukee has also racked up big point totals during the team’s 8-1 run, topping 130 points five times including two of their three most recent outings. But with those wins coming by an average margin of just 5.3 points, the Bucks have covered the spread just once over that stretch. While the Bucks have been running up the score, the Bulls have struggled to generate offence, averaging just 102 points while losing eight of their past nine overall, and have averaged just 98.3 points while going 1-3 at home over that stretch. Currently dead last in the NBA with a 5-13-1 ATS record, the Bulls lack of defence has contributed to a current 4-1 run for the OVER in totals betting.

Milwaukee Bucks

The Bucks have taken steps to overcome their previously uneven performance on the road while winning three of four away contests during their current 8-1 run. Milwaukee has also made a major turnaround at the sportsbook, covering the spread in six of their past eight contests after going 1-9 ATS in their first 10 games of the season. Deepening chemistry between Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard has been key to those turnarounds. Giannis has posted 33 points and double-doubles in each of his past two outings, and has topped 30 points in eight of his past 11 appearances. Lillard is settling into his new Milwaukee home, and has averaged 31.3 poiunts over his past three outings, and is a solid -130 bet on the NBA player props to record OVER 4.4 rebounds for the fifth time in six games.

Chicago Bulls

Now just 2.5 games up on Detroit in the race for last place overall in the NBA standings, the Bulls enter Thursday’s clash with the Bulls looking to avoid freefall while struggling through a wave of injuries. DeMar DeRozan was limited to just 26 minutes of action and 19 points in Tuesday’s loss to Boston due to an ankle injury that leaves him questionable for Thursday’s contest. In addition, Zach Lavine is dealing with a foot injury that limited him to just two points on Tuesday, and leaves his status in doubt versus the Bucks. With Alex Caruso also dealing with a foot injury, the Bulls will have to lean heavily on their supporting cast against Milwaukee, most notably Patrick Williams, Jevon Carter, and Ayo Dosunmu. Williams has enjoyed the most playing of the three, and has averaged 14 points and recorded seven boards on two occasions over the past four games.
