The Eastern Conference’s top-seeded Philadelphia 76ers had little trouble in the first two home games of their playoff series against the No. 8 Washington Wizards, but it shifts to D.C. on Saturday for Game 3. Philly is still a 5.5-point favourite to win on the NBA odds with a total of 227.5.

76ers vs. Wizards NBA Playoff Odds

On the moneyline for Game 3, the Sixers are -223 and the Wizards are +185. Both the over and under 227.5 points are -110.

With the 76ers up 2-0 against the Wizards following Wednesday’s 120-95 victory, Philadelphia is a massive -5000 favourite on the series line and Washington is +1000. The Sixers are +275 to win the Eastern Conference and +700 to win the NBA Finals.

The teams played one game in D.C. during the regular season, with the Sixers winning 127-101 on March 12 even though Philly star centre Joel Embiid left with an injury in the third quarter. Embiid still had 23 points and seven rebounds in 20 minutes of action. The Sixers’ other All-Star, Ben Simmons, didn’t play. Russell Westbrook scored 25 points and Bradley Beal added 19 for the Wizards, who had won 10 straight at home in this series.

Philadelphia is 1-4 against the spread in their past five games in Washington. The under is 4-1 in those five.

Philadelphia 76ers

After taking Game 1 by just seven points, Game 2 was essentially over at the half, with Philadelphia up 71-57 on the way to a 120-95 romp. It was the franchise’s most points in the first half of a playoff game since 1978 vs. the New York Knicks and third-most points at halftime of a playoff game in the shot-clock era. Ben Simmons had 16 points, six rebounds and six assists in the first half alone and finished with 22/9/8. The Wizards tried to focus their defence more on Joel Embiid (22 points, nine rebounds, eight assists) and Tobias Harris (19 points, nine rebounds) after both had huge games in the opener. The news wasn’t all good though, as sharp-shooter Seth Curry left with a sprained ankle. There’s a pretty good chance he misses at least this game. Harris also tweaked his ankle but returned. The Sixers are 2-5 ATS in their past seven road games.

Washington Wizards

The Wizards simply aren’t as good as the 76ers and will be lucky to get one game. Washington was the NBA’s worst defensive team in the regular season and allowed Philly to hit 55.7 per cent in Game 2. Bradley Beal did his part on offence with 33 points but no one else had more than 11. Russell Westbrook had 10 points, 11 assists and six rebounds before leaving with a sprained right ankle – as Westbrook was being helped to the locker room, a fan dumped popcorn on him and Westbrook nearly charged said fan. That incident has been trending big time on social media. Consider Westbrook questionable for Game 3. Washington is 7-1-1 ATS in its past nine after a loss.
