The Raptors carry a season-high four-game winning streak into the second of a two-game home series in Tampa, Fla., against the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday. The NBA odds will partially depend on the status of Kyle Lowry.

NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis

It’s the front end of a back-to-back for Toronto on Tuesday as it visits Miami on Wednesday. Thus, it’s possible Nick Nurse rests somebody on Tuesday and it’s probably less likely that Lowry returns from a sprained left thumb. Lowry also is dealing with a sore ankle. Might the fact the Raptors are winning without Lowry of late and are 6-0 without him this season (18-2 dating to last season) make it more likely that the pending unrestricted free agent is traded by the March 25 Trade Deadline?

It’s not part of a back-to-back for Philadelphia so all their key players should go, although superstar centre Joel Embiid has back problems flare up from time-to-time, so monitor that. This is also the team’s final road game in the first half of the schedule.

Toronto is 7-3 in the past 10 regular-season meetings following Sunday’s win and they are 6-4 against the spread in those games.

Philadelphia 76ers

We didn’t like the Sixers to cover the three-point spread on Sunday and they didn’t, losing 110-103 to the Dinos – it was Philly’s fourth straight road loss and it held double-digit leads in both halves. That team is so different away from home though, even when fans aren’t currently allowed in most buildings. Embiid had 25 points and 17 rebounds on Sunday, but he was just 6-for-20 shooting. The Sixers shot 5-for-21 in the fourth quarter and were outscored by eight. Ben Simmons had 28 points and nine rebounds after missing the past two games with a stomach bug. Tobias Harris had just 13 points on 6-for-17 shooting and 1-for-9 from deep. Key reserve Shake Milton was back after missing five games with an injury and had nine points in 29 minutes. Philly is 3-6-1 ATS in its past 10 on the road.

Toronto Raptors

Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam each led the Dinos with 23 points on Sunday and combined for 17 assists. DeAndre Bembry started for Lowry again and had eight points, four rebounds and two assists in 20 minutes. He was replaced by Aron Baynes in the first unit after halftime, and Baynes played excellent defence on Embiid. Chris Boucher had 17 points, five rebounds and three blocks off the bench. OG Anunoby got a rest game on Friday but he was back on Sunday with 10 points and six rebounds. The Raptors have won 16 straight games at home against Philadelphia. Toronto is above .500 for the first time this season.
