Philadelphia 76ers vs. Atlanta Hawks Game 4 Prediction, Playoff Odds

The Philadelphia 76ers will have to finish their Eastern Conference semifinal playoff series against the Atlanta Hawks without injured former Raptors guard Danny Green, but the Sixers are 3-point favourites to win on the NBA odds for Game 4 in Atlanta on Monday. The total is set at 225.5 points.

76ers vs. Hawks NBA Playoff Odds

On the moneyline, Philadelphia is -158 for Monday’s Game 3 and Atlanta is +132. Both the Over and Under 225.5 points are -110. With the Sixers now up 2-1 in the series and having won the past two games, they are -1000 on the series line with the Hawks at +500. The favoured exact result is Philadelphia in six games at +155, while Atlanta in six is the +1500 long shot. That it ends in Game 6 is a +130 favourite, followed by Game 5 (+200) and Game 7 (+210).

Green, who was part of Toronto’s 2019 NBA championship team, will miss 2-3 weeks with a right calf strain suffered in Game 3. Thus, he could also miss the Eastern Conference Finals if the Sixers get there opposite either Brooklyn or Milwaukee. Green does start, but he isn’t a huge piece at this point in his career as he’s primarily a 3-point specialist. He averaged 9.5 points per game in the regular season and 7.0 points in these playoffs.

It’s not clear who coach Doc Rivers will start in Green’s place – likely Matisse Thybulle if Rivers is considering defence, or Furkan Korkmaz if the coach wants a better scorer. Korkmaz had 14 points in Game 2, while Thybulle managed to foul out despite playing just 17 minutes.

The 76ers are 1-6 against the spread in their past seven games in Atlanta. The Over is 8-3 in the previous 11 there.

Philadelphia 76ers

The Sixers took Game 3 surprisingly easily, 127-111, even though they were a pretty average road team during the regular season. Joel Embiid dominated as per usual with 27 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, playing with that small tear in his knee. Tobias Harris added 22 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Ben Simmons had 18 points and seven assists and helped play good defence on Hawks star Trae Young. Rivers played five reserves at least 13 minutes each. That group obviously will get a bit thinner with someone moving into the starting lineup for Green. Philadelphia is 11-4-1 ATS in their past 16 as a road favourite.

Atlanta Hawks

Atlanta had been on an NBA-best 13-game home winning streak before losing Game 3. Young got his, with 28 points and eight assists, but the team was outscored by 10 points with him on the court. John Collins had his best game of the series with 23 points on 10-for-14 shooting. Other than Danilo Gallinari’s 17 points, the Hawks got very little from their bench. The team badly misses injured forwards De’Andre Hunter and Cam Reddish. Hunter has been lost for the season, while Reddish hasn’t played since late February due to injury. He will not play Monday, but could get back at some point this series. Atlanta is 20-7 ATS in their past 27 games at home.
