Miranda Maverick enters the weekend perched at No. 111 on the UFC rankings after claiming a unanimous decision victory over Jamey-Lyn Horth in her last octagon appearance at UFC Tampa in December 2024. “Thug Rose” looks to get back into the win column after suffering a narrow unanimous decision loss to Erin Blanchfield in their five-round matchup last November at UFC Edmonton.

Miranda Maverick will be fighting her first five-round bout when she steps into the octagon at State Farm Arena on Saturday night. The 27-year-old has improved her professional MMA record to 15-5 while enjoying an impressive run of six wins in seven fights, with five of those contests going the distance.

A grappler and wrestler in her youth, Maverick holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and gained a reputation early in her career as a submission specialist, with seven of her 15 career wins coming by tap out.

However, Maverick is not renowned for her punching power, tallying just one win by KO/TKO and has delivered an average of just 39 significant strikes over his past four fights.

Thug Rose enters this contest holding the edge in experience fighting in championship rounds and in striking. If these fighters go toe-to-toe, Namajunas could end things relatively early. More likely, the action will be on the mat in marathon bout that goes well beyond the third round.
