UFC 315 Odds, Prediction: Mike Malott vs. Charles Radtke

Mike Malott and Charles Radtke are both coming off impressive victories as they look to climb into the welterweight rankings ahead of Saturday’s tilt at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

Malott is a -170 favourite to win on the MMA odds, with Radtke sitting as a +140 underdog.

Mike Malott UFC 315 Odds

Malott is 11-2 with one draw since his professional MMA debut in 2011. Before joining the UFC in 2022, the 33-year-old also competed for the WSOF, Bellator, and Cage Fury Fighting promotions.

“Proper” has quickly made a name for himself in the Octagon as a potential Canadian star of the future. He earned a UFC contract by winning Dana White’s Contender Series 42 and promptly recorded three straight finishes while winning four of his first five fights in the Octagon, including a unanimous decision victory against Trevin Giles last November.

Malott is at his best when the fight hits the mat as evidenced by his six career submission wins (four via knockout, one via decision). The biggest knock against him is that he is essentially a hit-or-miss fighter. He looks incredibly sharp when he’s on his game, but he seems aimless when things don’t go his way.

Malott started off strong, but seemed to run out of gas in his one UFC loss to Neil Magny in January 2024. His victory over Giles was a step back in the right direction, although he still seemed tentative. Saturday is a great opportunity to impress Dan White and co.

Charles Radtke UFC 315 Odds

Radtke has put together a 10-4 professional record since 2012, recording five wins by knockout, three by decision and two by submission. The 34-year-old fought once in the Bellator promotion, losing by unanimous decision.

“Chuck Buffalo” found his most success with Cage Fury Fighting, winning the lightweight championship. He debuted in the UFC in 2023, going 3-2 in his first five fights.

Radtke followed up a stoppage loss against Carlos Prates last June with an impressive first-round knockout win against Matthew Semelsberger in November. Lasting just 51 seconds, the win earned Radtke a Performance of the Night bonus.

It really looks like Radtke will be in tough on Saturday. He’s a capable wrestler, but outside of a strong left hook, he just doesn’t have the tools to hang with Malott. Radtke’s best bet is to keep this fight standing up as long as possible because his wrestling won’t save him against Malott.

UFC 315 Prediction: Malott vs. Radtke

This is a mismatch fight. Malott is a more versatile fighter and he’ll end things quick if this ends up on the mat.

Malott wins by submission (+350).
