Da Un Jung UFC Vegas 68 Odds

This event was originally to be held in Jung’s native South Korea but was switched to Las Vegas. The new light heavyweight champion is Jamahal Hill and Jung is unranked. The 29-year-old is 15-3-1 in a pro career dating to 2015. He was a light heavyweight champion in the HEAT organization.

“Sseda” is 4-1-1 in the UFC with the draw coming against Sam Alvey at UFC 254. Jung is coming off his first company loss, via first-round KO (punch) against Dustin Jacoby last July. Jacoby connected with a straight right hand by the ear of Jung and dropped the Korean immediately to the canvas. That was that.

The 6-foot-4 fighter has a reach of 78 inches and his fights average 8:13. He lands 4.05 significant strikes per minute with 43 per cent accuracy and absorbs 3.81 with 54 per cent defence. Jung’s takedown average per 15 minutes is 2.43 with 61 per cent accuracy, and his takedown defence 88 per cent.

Eleven of his 15 wins are by KO/TKO, two by submission and one via the judges. He has one loss via each. Jung is yet to win a Performance of the Night bonus in the UFC. His favoured method of victory is by KO/TKO/DQ at -105 followed by decision at +250 and submission +650. Jung should have the edge on his feet in this bout and is the superior striker.

The over-under for rounds is 2.5. Should the tilt go the distance, the odds are +146, otherwise they’re -222.

Devin Clark UFC Vegas 68 Odds

The 32-year-old Clark was a state champion wrestler in his native South Dakota and a two-time NJCAA All-American at Rochester Community and Technical College, including winning an individual national title. In MMA, Clark is 13-7 in a pro career dating back to 2013. He was signed by the UFC after organization president Dana White scouted him on the “Dana White: Looking for a Fight – Season 1 Episode 6” UFC web series.

The biggest-name fighter Clark has faced is former UFC champion Jan Blachowicz in October 2017 with Blachowicz winning by second-round submission (rear-naked choke). “Brown Bear” enters off a defeat last August to Azamat Murzakanov via third-round TKO (punches).

Clark is a good wrestler but is aware this fight may be largely on his feet: “I’ve been in a few fights against a striking guy and he game-planned to take me down, Anthony Smith for one of them. I think the important thing is to stay ready for anything knowing that Jung is capable of wrestling but also capable of getting a KO, especially in that first round. … I think I have to get control of him, control the cage, and then ground and pound in the second round is how I see it finishing.”

The 6-foot Clark has a reach of 75 inches and his fights average 11:10. He lands 2.94 significant strikes per minute with 55 per cent accuracy and absorbs 2.86 with 44 per cent defence. His takedown average is 2.30 per 15 minutes with 35 per cent accuracy, and his takedown defence is 55 per cent.

Clark has eight wins by decision, four by KO/TKO and one by submission. Three losses are by KO/TKO, three by submission and one via the judges. Regarding potential methods of victory for the upcoming fight, Clark is +350 by decision, +450 by KO/TKO/DQ and +1100 via submission.
