Jays vs. Yankees Betting Analysis
This is the last series between the Yankees and Blue Jays before the All-Star break. The Jays took two of three at Yankee Stadium from April 21-23. Danny Jansen was 3-for-8 in that series with a double, homer and four RBIs, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was 4-for-11 with two homers and a double. George Springer just 2-for-14 with four strikeouts.
New York’s DJ LeMahieu is 4-for-8 against Jays pitching this year with a double, but reigning AL MVP Aaron Judge is only 1-for-12 with four strikeouts. This will be his first look at the renovated Rogers Centre. Judge hit .235 with two homers, two doubles and six RBIs last year there in 34 at-bats.
The Yankees are 11-4 in their past 15 in Toronto.

The Yankees’ bullpen might not be in the best of shape entering the series as that groups was overtaxed in the weekend back-and-forth series against Tampa Bay. The Yanks did manage to split the four-game home set and have won or split three of their last four series and nine of their 13 this season, going 7-4-2. Shortstop Anthony Volpe is among the AL Rookie of the Year favourites and hot right now, slashing .300/.300/.750 (6-for-20) with three homers, eight RBIs and two steals in his past five. Rookie right-hander Jhony Brito (2-3, 5.81) is expected to start on the mound and has never faced the Jays. Brito has a 6.48 ERA in two starts this month totalling 8.1 innings. He hasn’t gone more than five in his young career. The Yankees are 1-5 in their past six road games.
Toronto Blue Jays
Atlanta entered the weekend as the World Series favourite and promptly was swept three games by Toronto even though neither of the Jays’ aces, Alek Manoah and Kevin Gausman, pitched in the series. Sunday’s 6-5 victory improved the Jays to 7-4 in one-run games this year, and it was their 10th comeback win. Danny Jansen had the third walk-off hit of his career. Brandon Belt was 3-for-5 and is batting .458 over his past eight. Manoah (1-3, 4.83 ERA) gets the call on the mound Monday. Since throwing seven shutout innings of the Yankees on April 22, Manoah hasn’t lasted more than five in three straight. He has owned the Yankees in his career with a 1.93 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and .156 opponents’ batting average in 42.0 career innings … but only a 2-1 record. Yanks star Aaron Judge is 1-for-19 off him with seven strikeouts. The Jays are 8-1 in their past nine at home.
