Florida Baseball Spring Training – The Grapefruit League

Add Sports Interacton as Your Preferred News Source

The Grapefruit League is the older of the two spring training leagues. Major League teams have been going to Florida for nearly one hundred years, to blow the cobwebs of winter away and get ready for Opening Day and the official start of summer.

There are fifteen teams playing spring training baseball in fourteen stadiums in Florida. Which teams play in the Grapefruit has more to do with geography than with American or National League affiliation – the East Coast teams play in Florida, the West coast teams in Arizona and it’s either/or for the Midwest.

For anyone thinking of taking a trip to Florida to check out the teams here’s an interactive map so you can plan your trip and check out the early season formlines. Sports Interaction will have MLB betting lines on spring training games, and we are also now taking bets on individual matchups, pennant winners and the World Series itself. Bet now on Major League Baseball!
