ALDS Parlay Picks, Best Bets: Expect the offence to continue between the Blue Jays and Yankees

After scoring 23 runs in the first two games of the ALDS, the Toronto Blue Jays have a chance to eliminate the New York Yankees on Tuesday night.

First things first, you can check out our complete game preview and prediction here.

The Blue Jays can’t afford to five the Yankees any life in this series, so with Toronto on the verge of reaching the ALCS for the first time since 2016, my parlay for Game 3 is focusing on the team ending the series.

Here’s what I have for a parlay priced at +550:

  • Toronto Blue Jays moneyline
  • Total Over 8.0 runs
  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 1+ RBI

Toronto Blue Jays moneyline

The Blue Jays have already provided some major moments through the first two games of this series. From Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hitting the franchise’s first playoff grand slam to Trey Yesavage throwing 11 strikeouts and giving up no hits in just his fourth career MLB start, the team is buzzing.

Toronto will be in a very hostile environment in the Bronx so getting off to a fast start is key. They’re in a good position, however, as veteran Shane Bieber is well equipped to shutdown New York’s big bats, particularly Aaron Judge, who is just 1-for-13 in his career against Bieber.

The offence is also hot, with Vladimir Guerrero Jr., George Springer and Daulton Varsho all playing their best ball of the year. There should also be a lot of confidence in the Jays with their 9-3 record against the Yankees this year.

Total Over 8.0 runs

This is a pretty obvious pick for me. Toronto’s gone over this total by themselves in each of the first two games of the series, hitting 10 runs in Game 1 and 13 in Game 2. That continues a stretch that has seen the Blue Jays average 8.5 runs over their last six games dating back to the regular season.

I also think the Yankees will find a little more offence when they return to the Bronx. Remember, Game 2 was a blowout, but New York still managed to torch Toronto’s bullpen for seven runs.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 1+ RBI

It was pretty widely known that for the Blue Jays to have success in the playoffs, Guerrero would need to step up. Well, he’s done his job. Guerrero launched a home run in his first at-bat of the series and now has six hits with two homers and six RBIs while batting .667 in the first two games of the series.

Guerrero also loves beating up on the Yanks. In 102 career games versus the Yankees, Guerrero is is batting .302 with 117 hits, 22 home runs and 74 RBIs.
