Great Golf Betting at Byron Nelson Championship!

Frank Doyle has picked a golf winner in four of the last five weeks. Today, he looks at the field for the Byron Nelson Championship.

This week the PGA Tour remains in the Dallas Forth-Worth area as the players assemble at Las Colinas for the Byron Nelson Championship, one of only two Tour events named after a player (the Arnold Palmer Invitational is the other, of course).

The TPC Las Colinas is a 7166 yard par 70 course that lends itself to heavy scoring. Wind is the chief feature of the course – the golfer who can control his ball in the teeth of that wind is the man with the best chance of winning the Byron Nelson Championship.

So, factoring that in with who’s been in form recently and who’s played well at the Byron Nelson previously, here are our

Fore! to Follow

Rory Sabbatini (+2000). Sabbatini shot a course record 261 when he won the Byron Nelson in 2009, and has won the Honda Classic already this year.

Sergio Garcia (+2800). Sergio hasn’t always been kind to people who bet on golf and he’s got issues with his putter and his mental fortitude. But he shot 65 on the final day at Sawgrass and he’s a previous winner of the Byron Nelson Championship.

Brian Gay (+2800). Gay leads the PGA in scrambling. If the wind blows, what could be more valuable a skill?

Ricky Barnes (+9000). Barnes finished fourth twice this year and came 20th in the Masters. He went through a bad patch recently but showed signs of life again last week at Colonial. Worth an each-way look at the price.
