Lewis Hamilton and George Russell Extend with Mercedes
Hamilton is already a Formula 1 legend, having captured the driver’s title an incredible seven times, six with the German-based team. He has piloted Mercedes since 2013.
Even though he’s tallied 103 career race victories, none of them are from the past two seasons, which is when Red Bull and Max Verstappen began to dominate the circuit.
Mercedes sits on 255 points for the 2023 campaign as they get ready for this weekend’s race at Monza. Lewis Hamilton has 155 points, and his teammate George Russell has accumulated 99.
Max Verstappen of Red Bull leads by a comfortable margin with 339 points. Even his teammate Sergio Perez trails far behind with 201.
