2023 Brazil Grand Prix Prediction: Formula 1 Betting Odds

Already assured of a third straight F1 Drivers Championship, Verstappen has not let up while rewriting the record book during a dream season that has featured 16 wins and 18 podium finishes in 19 races.

Verstappen once again dominated in qualifying despite being faced with inclement weather, and outpaced Charles Leclerc by over 3/10 of a second to claim the front of the grid. Verstappen has been rewarded on the Brazil Grand Prix odds, where he has rocketed to a -650 favourite to claim his 17th win of the season. Despite claiming a spot on the front row, Leclerc remains haunted by some recent struggles that have limited him to one podium appearance in seven races, and is listed at +1200, well back of Lewis Hamilton, who is pegged as +800 bet to claim a fourth career win in Sao Paulo.

Brazil Grand Prix Race Time, Weather Forecast

Lights out at the 2023 Brazil Grand Prix is scheduled for 12:00pm ET on Sunday afternoon at Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace. Clear sunny skies are expected at race time, with temperatures hovering around 20 degrees Celsius.

Verstappen Arrives Hungry in Brazil

Those who may think that Max Verstappen is simply playing out the string over the final three races, are likely to be in for a big surprise this weekend. While Verstappen is quickly establishing himself as a legend in Formula 1 circles, he still has plenty to prove in Brazil. The winner at this race four years ago, Verstappen has failed to close the deal in the last two editions of this race, capped by a sixth-place finish last year while feuding with Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez.

Verstappen encountered no issues with pace during qualifying this time around, and with the weather forecast improving, there is little reason to expect anything other than another dominating performance. Accordingly, Verstappen fans will want to get in on the +700 odds of Verstappen winning by at least 10 seconds while producing the fastest lap, and Red Bull having the fastest pit stop of the day.

Mercedes’ Past Success in Brazil Can’t Be Overlooked

While Max Verstappen has enjoyed a fast start to the weekend, the recent success of Mercedes at this race has to be a consideration for F1 betting fans. George Rusell returns to Sao Paulo as the defending winner at this race, while Lewis Hamilton’s run of six podium finishes in eight appearances in Brazil make him perennial threat.

The Mercedes duo failed to break through in qualifying, and will line up side-by-side in the third row. George Russell faces a big challenge to get past a middling stretch of 12 races since his last podium appearance. However, the Silver Arrows have shown good enough pace to back as a short -225 bet to produce their 10th double top-six finish of the season. And barring disaster, Lewis Hamilton should be on every ticket as a -225 bet to return to the podium.

Predictions: Verstappen win, fastest lap, & Red Bull fastest pit stop (+700); Mercedes double top-six (-225); Lewis Hamilton top three (-225)
