Tiger-Cats vs. Roughriders Prediction: CFL Week 11 Point Spread, Odds

The Roughriders are 3.5-point favourites to win on the CFL odds with a total of 53.5.

CFL Odds and Betting

Saskatchewan enters Week 11 atop the West Division and with a two-game lead in the loss column over Calgary, although the Roughriders have played one fewer game. They are +225 favourites to win their first Grey Cup since 2013.

Hamilton leads the East Division by a game over Montreal and is the +250 second-favourite to win the Grey Cup for the first time since 1999. If these teams meet again in 2025, it almost surely will only be in the Grey Cup as this concludes the regular-season series.

In Week 2, the Ticats were 2.5-point home underdogs and lost 28-23 to the Roughriders – their third straight win in the series. KeeSean Johnson was the star back in June with eight catches for 128 yards and what would prove to be the game-winning TD midway through the fourth quarter. Perhaps the game shouldn’t have been that close, but Riders kicker Brett Lauther missed wide-right on three field-goal attempts and also missed on an extra point.

Bo Levi Mitchell completed his first 12 passes for 139 yards before throwing his first incompletion late in the second quarter for Hamilton and finished completing 26 of 40 for 336 yards and a TD. Kenny Lawler was held out of the end zone but had eight catches for 152 yards.

Saskatchewan is also 7-1 ATS in the past home eight meetings. The under is 7-3 in the past 10 there.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Hamilton was a 3-point favourite last Thursday against the B.C. Lions but were upset 41-38 in overtime to fall to 2-2 SU at home compared to 4-1 away and have an overall six-game winning streak snapped. The Ticats had possession to start OT, but former Hamilton player DeWayne Hendrix recovered Tim White’s fumble following a completion. That set up Sean Whyte’s game-winning field for the Lons on their first possession. Hamilton had only gotten to overtime on Marc Liegghio’s 29-yard field goal on the final play of regulation.

Bo Levi Mitchell completed 23 of 33 passes for 305 yards and three second-half touchdowns. Isaiah Wooden had a punt return touchdown in the first half, his third of the year. But the Ticats’ defence allowed 514 total yards. Cornerback Jamal Peters and safety Stavros Katsantonis, who have each started all nine games this year, are in question this week due to injury. The Tiger-Cats are sixth in the CFL in pass defence, allowing 275.7 yards per game entering Week 11. The over is 6-2 in Hamilton’s past eight road games.

Saskatchewan Roughriders

The Roughriders last took the field in Week 9 and were very impressive in a 34-6 win in Montreal, the team’s third straight win entering the Week 10 bye. Saskatchewan ranks first in the CFL in time of possession (32:07), and No. 2 in in total offence (398.8 yards per game) and in scoring offence (29.1 PPG – Hamilton is first at 32.3). QB Trevor Harris leads the CFL in passer rating (119.7) and is third in TD throws. He has thrown at least one touchdown pass in each of his past 11 games, including playoffs, and at least two in three in a row. The team record is 14 straight games with a TD throw by Kent Austin in 1993 (all in the regular season).

Harris is thriving even though nine different players have started on the offensive line this season due to injuries. Saturday, though, could be a big day for tailback AJ Ouellette. He ranks third in the league in rushing yards and has three straight games with exactly 15 carries. Hamilton allows the third-most rushing yards in the CFL. The Roughriders are 6-2 ATS in their past eight.
