Tiger-Cats’ QB Bo Levi Mitchell on Six-Game Injured List Again
In one of the more perplexing moments of the 2023 CFL season, Bo Levi Mitchell re-injured himself very late in Friday night’s win in Ottawa against the Redblacks. Hamilton has placed him on a six-game injured list for the second time this season.

Tiger-Cats’ Bo Levi Mitchell on Six-Game Injured List
Up 16-12, Mitchell, who has just missed four games, went for a QB sneak deep his team’s zone with only seconds left on the clock. The tackle that sent him backwards evidently did damage to his right leg, as he was carried off the field by two teammates. It remains unclear why Mitchell opted for a quarterback sneak rather than a kneel down.
The QB’s performance versus Ottawa was sloppy. Coming back from a prolonged absence is never easy, especially in tricky conditions as was the case Friday evening in the nation’s capital, but Mitchell’s five interceptions certainly were cause for concern. He definitely slung the football around, attempting 40 passes, completing 23 of them for 353 yards and two touchdowns.
With regular backup Matthew Shiltz still nursing his injuries, Taylor Powell is back under centre in Hamilton for now. The team’s official social media accounts have announced that Bo Levi Mitchell is expected to make a full recovery and be ready to play after his latest absence.
The Montreal Alouettes (3-3) arrive in Hamilton to play the Tiger-Cats (3-4) on Saturday night in Week 9.
