It’s always a good time when the two Albertan teams meet and this time Edmonton will be looking for revenge after dropping the first of their home-and-home on Monday.

They dropped a 23-20 nail biter at McMahon and will thankfully return home for the first time since mid-August. It’ll be a quick turnaround for both squads with each entering their second game in less than a week. Don’t expect any signs of slowing though as the ‘Battle of Alberta’ finale almost never disappoints.

Betting Analysis

Calgary enters this game with a -3 point favouring on their side. They have been tearing through the West, but have also laid their stamp on the league going a perfect 5-0 through eastern opponents.

Meanwhile, the Edmonton Eskimos are a bit of a different story. They are currently knotted with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in a tie for second in the West with 12-points. They are also followed closely by Winnipeg who currently sit just one win back.

Calgary Stampeders

It’s been yet another season of pure domination for Calgary. The good news for the Stamps here is that their offence and defence are on the same page. Both are completely in-tune and well prepped for any opponent. This was on clear display last week as the Stamps forced the Eskies into three turnovers.

The bad news for Calgary is that they’ll have to go the rest of the way without Kamar Jorden. The wide out left Monday’s game with a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the 2018 campaign. It’s a huge loss for Calgary as Jorden was putting up career numbers across the board.

Edmonton Eskimos

The Eskimos may be able to capitalize on the loss of the Stamp’s star as they currently lead the league in sacks (28) and are second in picks (11). If Bo Levi Mitchell takes a little too much time in the pocket looking for a different set of hands this weekend, he could be in for a world of hurt.

The Eskies will have to rely on the defence to come up big for them often too because their offence, like the Stamps, may also struggle. Derel Walker, the league leader in touchdowns (eight), also injured his knee in Monday’s game and will be out 6-8 weeks. It could be a long night for both QB’s in this one.
