Stampeders vs. Blue Bombers Prediction: CFL Week 20 Point Spread, Odds

This is the second game of the home and home series for the Bombers and Stampeders. This week’s game is in Winnipeg, and if it is anything like last week’s game, it should be the best of the week.

CFL Odds and Betting

These two teams met last week in an old fashion West division shootout. The Stampeders outlasted the Bombers to the tune of 37-33. The season series is now tied at 1.

The Bombers are happy to be back at home as they are 5-26 in their last 31 appearances at McMahon Stadium. At home the Bombers are 9-2 against the spread in their last 11 home games, and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games on Friday night.

The Stampeders are 0-11 ATS in their last 11 games in October.

Calgary Stampeders

Bo Levi Mitchell is in prime time form in the last month, and he did it again last week against the Bombers. Mitchell torched the Bombers for 337 yards for an average of 10.2 yards per completion. The Stamps were three for three in the red zone, and completed 61 percent of their second down conversions.

Receiver Reggie Begelton has been a favourite target of Mitchell’s, now ranked third in the CFL in receiving yards with 1286.

The Stamps appear to be on a b-line to repeat as Grey Cup champions. Currently at Sports Interaction they are paying +300 to do so. The team is 6-1 in the last seven games.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers

The Blue Bombers gave the Stampeders a fight last weekend, but came up just short.

The Bombers as a unit rushed for 191 yards in Calgary with Quarterback Chris Streveler leading the way with 85 yards along the ground. In the last two weeks the team has rushed for 431 yards. One concern the team might have is distribution of the ball in the backfield. Streveler carried the ball 15 times, while the league’s leading rusher Andrew Harris only carried the ball 11 times.

Since September 1, the Bombers are 2-5 in seven games played. Over the last three games kicker Justin Medlock has accounted for half the team’s points scored 37.

This will be the last regular season game for the team as they enjoy a bye week next weekend.
