RedBlacks vs. Blue Bombers Prediction: CFL Week 11 Point Spread, Odds
Dru Brown had himself a night in Week 10, leading Ottawa to a surprise 46-42 shootout victory in Toronto. The same can’t be said for Zach Collaros and the Bombers, who dropped a 28-27 decision in Calgary.
Winnipeg is a 6-point favourite to win this Week 11 matchup on the CFL odds, with the total pegged at 51.5.
CFL Odds and Betting
This is the first of two meetings this year, with the Blue Bombers set to visit Ottawa in Week 16. The home side came out on top in both head-to-heads last season.
Winnipeg will be happy to be back home where they are 3-1 straight up and against the spread in 2025, compared to 1-3 SU and 2-2 ATS on the road.
While the RedBlacks are coming off a road victory, it’s worth noting they are just 2-9 SU in their last 11 away games dating back to last season. They are, however, 3-2 ATS on the road this season.
The Blue Bombers have made five straight Grey Cup appearances, but oddsmakers have them listed at a middling +1200 on the CFL futures board to win the big game in 2025. That’s still a far cry from Ottawa, who has the second-longest Grey Cup odds at +3000.
Ottawa RedBlacks
If there were any questions on how important Dru Brown is to Ottawa, they were answered in last week’s win. Brown completed 26 of 31 pass attempts, finishing with 373 yards and a career-high five TD passes in the RedBlacks’ second straight win. Bralon Addison (111 receiving yards, one TD) and Justin Hardy (106 receiving yards, two TDs) were the biggest beneficiaries of Brown’s big game.
While the offence came to play last week for Ottawa, the defence was a no-show. The RedBlacks were torched for over 30 points for the fifth time this season and their average of 28.4 ppg given up ranks third-last in the CFL. Ottawa does, however, boast a rushing defence that ranks third in the CFL, which could be key against a Winnipeg squad that boasts one of the best running backs in the league in Brady Oliveira.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers
It was a heartbreaking defeat for the Bombers last week, who lost after Calgary kicked a game-winning field goal as time expired. In his return from injury, Zach Collaros threw for 214 yards and a touchdown, but it was Oliveira who really led the offence. Last year’s Most Outstanding Player was a dual threat, leading the team in both rushing yards (68) and receiving yards (100).
It’s not the sexiest role, but Winnipeg kicker Sergio Castillo deserves his flowers after his Week 10 performance. Castillo was four-for-four on field goal attempts and two-for-two on convert attempts. The 34-year-old nailed field goals from 37, 49, 53 and 63 yards, the last of which tied the CFL all-time record.
