RedBlacks vs. Argonauts Prediction: CFL Week 10 Point Spread, Odds

An East Division rivalry featuring the two last-place teams is the Saturday matinee game in Week 10 around the CFL as Ottawa visits Toronto. The Argos opened as the shortest favourites of the week at -2.5 on the CFL odds with a total of 53.5.

CFL Odds and Betting

This will complete the season series in the rivalry, which has been dominated by Toronto by winning eight of the past nine including playoffs. The Argos were 1.5-point underdogs when they visited Ottawa in Week 4 and won 29-16, landing well under the total of 51. Nick Arbuckle threw for 269 yards with a TD pass (to offensive lineman Ryan Hunter) and a pick in what was Toronto’s first win of 2025.

Argos defensive back Derek Slywka had the game of his life. In the second quarter, he completely changed momentum by scooping up a Kalil Pimpleton fumble and returning it 105 yards for a touchdown. In the third quarter, Slywka picked up a blocked field goal attempt and returned it 120 yards for the touchdown. Redblacks QB Dustin Crum threw for 235 yards and a pick with no TDs and very little time to throw as he was sacked five times, twice by Andrew Chatfield Jr.

Ottawa’s last win in the series was at home in September 2024 by a score of 38-31. The Redblacks are 1-8 ATS in their past nine in Toronto. The over is 5-1 in the past six there.

Ottawa RedBlacks

Both of Ottawa’s wins in 2025 have now come against a good Stampeders team: Week 3 in Calgary and then last Thursday when Ottawa was a 3.5-point home favourite coming out of a bye and prevailed 31-11 for its first home win of the season. Dru Brown, who had left Week 7 with an injury, looked healthy in throwing 225 yards and a pair of touchdowns. It was his third game this year with multiple TD throws. Eugene Lewis led all receivers with 110 yards on five catches, but fellow wideout Justin Hardy caught both of Brown’s TD throws. No doubt the Redblacks caught a break with Calgary starting QB Vernon Adams Jr. out injured. Backup P.J. Walker made his first CFL start and threw three picks, including a fourth-quarter pick-six by Alijah McGhee. The Stampeders’ entered Week 9 averaging a league-high 127 rushing yards per game. They were held to 35. The only two times the Redblacks have held a foe under 18 points this year are the two Stamps games. Ottawa is 2-8 ATS in its past 10 overall road games.

Toronto Argonauts

Football is a funny game. In Week 8, the Argos were 5.5-point home underdogs against Winnipeg and won 31-17. But then last Friday in Winnipeg, they were +3 and lost 40-31. Special teams were the difference last week as the Blue Bombers’ Trey Vaval returned both a kickoff and punt for scores in the first half. Winnipeg led 31-13 at the break. Toronto’s Nick Arbuckle finished completing 22 of his 39 passes for 327 yards, two touchdowns. He had four passes deflected at the line, threw an interception and lost a fumble that was returned for a score. Arbuckle surpassed 10,000 career passing yards in the process. He was under siege all night because the Argos could not or did not try to run the ball: Only five attempts for eight yards on the ground. Toronto is last in the CFL in averaging just 50.5 rush yards per game. Wideout Damonte Coxie was a huge bright spot in the loss with a career-high 187 yards on nine receptions with two scores. With QB Chad Kelly (leg) still week-to-week on the injured list, Arbuckle will be under centre again. The over is 6-2 in Toronto’s past eight at home.
