Lions vs. Stampeders Prediction: CFL Week 7 Point Spread, Odds

The Lions maintained their recent torrid pace with last week’s 35-20 home victory over Saskatchewan and have also covered the spread four times during their current 5-0-0 run. The Stampeders return home after falling 41-37 to Winnipeg last week to remain winless on the road in 2024, but are unbeaten straight up and asainst the spread to two road dates this season.

The Lions are listed as 4.5-point road favourites on the CFL Week 7 odds. The Stampeders trail as -225 home underdogs on the CFL moneyline and the total is pegged at 52.5

CFL Week 7 Odds and Betting

Sunday evening’s matchup marks the second of three regular season meetings between these CFL West rivals. The Lions rolled to a 26-17 win as 7.5-point home chalk when these teams clashed in Week 2 to improve to 7-2-0 SU and against the spread in nine overall dates since the start of the 2022 CFL campaign. BC has also taken five of six from the Stamps in Calgary, and look to Sunday’s contest as betting favourites at McMahon Stadium for the first time in 12 years.

The Lions never led in last week’s clash with the Roughriders, but needed a big fourth-quarter performance, scoring 13 unanswered points to seal the victory and claim their fourth ATS win of the season. After racking up 39.5 points per game over their past two outings, the Lions now trail only Toronto with 30.3 points per game this season. The team’s offensive surge has been fueled by the steady play of quarterback Vernon Adams Jr., who added to his league-leading totals with 451 passing yards and one touchdown. Adams also tossed two picks on the day, ending a run of four straight games without an interception, and was also sacked four times to lift his season total to a league-high 15. However, the veteran pivot faced no such issues in BC’s Week 2 win over the Stampeders, tossing for 227 yards and two scores while avoiding a pick for the first time in four appearances with Calgary.

Calgary Stampeders

For the second time in as many outings, the Stampeders let a fourth-quarter lead slip away in last week’s 41-37 loss to the Blue Bombers. Overall, this team has been rocked for 71 total points during their 0-2-0 slide and have surrendered 26 total points in the final frame over that stretch. However, Stamps Nation can take comfort in the team’s long overdue offensive outburst in last week’s loss, with their 37 points marking their most productive outing of the season. Quarterback Jake Meier took steps to get past his early-season funk by tossing for two TDs for the first time this season. Meier also racked up 316 passing yards and offers value as -115 bet to toss for OVER 253.5 yards on Sunday. However, his two interceptions against Winnipeg are cause for concern, extending his streak of games with at least one pick to four. While Meier’s backup Tommy Stevens accounted for both the team’s scoring runs last week, Dedrick Mills looked to be over his recent injury while piling up 131 yards and is a -115 bet on the CFL player props to gallop for OVER 64.5 yards.
