Elks vs. Stampeders Prediction: CFL Week 13 Point Spread, Odds
The Elks have overcome a dismal start to the season during their resurgence, capped by a decisive 30-20 win in Ottawa last week that marked their second straight victory on the road. The Stampeders look to go undefeated on their current three-game homestand after topping the CFL West-leading Saskatchewan Roughriders last week by a 32-15 score.
The Stampeders lead the way as 7.5-point favourites on the CFL Week 13 odds. The Elks trail as lengthy +275 underdogs on the CFL moneyline and the total is pegged at 52.5.
CFL Odds and Betting

The Elks have emerged as a legitimate threat to claim a playoff spot during their current 3-0 surge. While Edmonton enters Labour Day weekend still mired in last place in the CFL West standings, a win in Calgary would pull them even with the idle BC Lions, who would cross over and claim the third and final playoff spot in the CFL East if the season were to end today.
The Elks have also emerged as a reliable bet during their recent surge, covering the spread in six of their past seven and have seen the UNDER pay out in six straight contests. But despite finding themselves on the verge of a postseason berth, the Elks continue to sit at the bottom of the Grey Cup odds as +4000 longshots on the CFL futures board.
The Stampeders closed to within two points of the top of the CFL West with last week’s win over the Riders, which also marked their sixth outright win in seven games as underdogs this season. However, Calgary has covered just once in their past four overall and have failed to produce an ATS win as betting chalk in three attempts this season.
Edmonton Elks
The Elks were forced to play catch-up in the first two games of their current 3-0 run, leveraging big fourth quarter rallies to eke out victories over Montreal and Toronto but left no doubt in last week’s convincing 30-20 victory over Ottawa. A stout Edmonton defence has limited opponents to just 22.3 points per game during their current win streak after allowing over 31 points per game during a dismal 1-6-0 start.
Cody Fajardo has been steady if not spectacular while leading the Elks offence, averaging 277.3 yards per game but has tossed just one scoring pass in the past two games against two picks. Indeed, this team’s success has largely hinged on the foot of kicker, who sealed the team’s past two wins with seven total field goals.
Calgary Stampeders
Opportunity knocks for the Stampeders, who look to keep pace with Saskatchewan with a third straight win. The Stamps put the Riders on notice with last week’s dominating 32-15 win, led by Vernon Adams Jr.’s three touchdown passes. Adams has now tossed for five scores in two outings since returning from injury and has found the end zone 18 times in nine game appearances.
But it will be the Stampeders defence that will play the biggest role on Monday, that is if they can duplicate their stingy performance from last week, when they shut out the Riders after the break. The Stampeders must now avoid overconfidence if they are to end their ATS slide but with the Elks offence struggling at times to find the end zone, Calgary could put things out of reach early.
