CFL Odds and Betting
The Blue Bombers have dominated Hamilton in recent years with wins in five of the last six head-to-heads, including a 42-31 Week 1 victory this season. Winnipeg’s Zach Collaros passed for 354 yards and three touchdowns, while Brady Oliveira rushed for 113 yards and a score. Hamilton’s Bo Levi Mitchell passed for 200 yards and a touchdown while being picked off twice, but he has since broken his leg and will not be available on Saturday.
The Bombers come into Week 15 with a solid 4-2 road record. They are 7-6 against the spread for the year, but have failed to cover in four of six road games. Winnipeg’s electric offence has helped the team hit the Over in five of their last six games.
The Ti-Cats have been abysmal at home this season, dropping five of six games in the Hammer. They are 5-7 ATS overall, including 1-5 ATS at home. Low scoring has been a trend for Hamilton as the total has gone Under in five of the team’s last seven games.
The Blue Bombers currently have the second-shortest Grey Cup odds at +155, while the Tiger-Cats are +1700.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Winnipeg quarterback Zach Collaros made his pitch for best individual performance of the season in last week’s blowout victory over the Riders. Collaros completed 16 of 17 pass attempts for 285 passing yards and five touchdown passes in the first half alone. He finished the game 18-of-21 for 319 yards and the five TDs with no interceptions. Collaros, who leads the CFL in touchdown passes (27) and is second in passing yards (3,136), is one of the leading candidates to win the CFL’s Most Outstanding Player award.
Running back Brady Oliveira has done his part to keep the Bombers’ offence chugging along in last week’s win. Oliveira, who has 1,144 rushing yards on the season, ran for 154 yards against Saskatchewan and stands as the only player in the league with over 1,000 rushing yards this season. Winnipeg’s offence is first in the CFL in average yards per game (423.4), first in average rushing yards per game (135.2), second in average passing yards per game (288.2) and second in points per game (32.7).
Hamilton Tiger-Cats
After a back-and-forth game, the Ti-Cats pulled off a crucial late comeback victory last week in Ottawa. With Bo Levi Mitchell (leg) and Matthew Shiltz (hip) out of the lineup, rookie Taylor Powell has been the man under centre for Hamilton. Powell finished last week with 326 passing yards and three TDs. It was the second straight game Powell threw for three touchdowns.
Tim White was Powells favourite target against Ottawa. White caught seven passes, finishing with 180 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The former Arizona State product has hit the 100-yard plateau in his last two games and he currently ranks fifth in the CFL with 851 receiving yards on the season.
