Blue Bombers vs. Tiger-Cats Prediction: CFL Week 15 Point Spread, Odds

Week 15 in the CFL kicks off in the Hammer, with the Ti-Cats hosting the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Hamilton is coming off a 26-9 victory in Montreal, improving to an East Division-leading 7-5. It’s a different story for the Bombers, who have dropped two straight and now sit third in the West Division at 6-6.

Hamilton is a 6.5-point favourite to win on the CFL odds, with the total pegged at 52.5.

CFL Odds and Betting

This is the first of two meetings between the teams in the regular season. Winnipeg swept the season series last year, outscoring the Tabbies a combined 57-33.

Of course, it would be no surprise to see these teams face off in the Grey Cup as the Bombers have made five straight trips to the championship game and Hamilton has the best record in the East Division.

Winnipeg has been the better cover option at 7-5 against the spread compared to 5-7 ATS for the Tiger-Cats. Hamilton has been a particularly bad cover option at home, where they are just 1-4 ATS for the year.

The Tiger-Cats enter Week 15 with the second-shortest odds to win the Grey Cup at +225 on the CFL futures board. The Blue Bombers are right in the middle at +1400 to win the Grey Cup.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Winnipeg enters this matchup banged up, with quarterback Zach Collaros out with a neck injury. That means Chris Streveler will get his third start of the season. Streveler has been fine, winning both his starts, but he hasn’t overwhelmed and he’s thrown more interceptions (eight) than touchdowns (five).

The Collaros injury impacts a Bombers offence that is already missing receiver Dalton Schoen for the year. That puts more pressure on running back Brady Oliveira to elevate, although he’s struggled to regain the form that saw him named last year’s Most Outstanding Player.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats

For the Ti-Cats, this week represents a chance to widen their lead atop the East Division standings. It all starts with quarterback Bo Levin Mitchell, who leads the CFL in touchdown passes (24) and ranks second in passing yards (3,653).

Hamilton could also use another dominant performance from running back Greg Bell, who torched Montreal for 156 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries last week. It was a career-high rushing performance for the 27-year-old, who also had 29 yards in the air.
