Blue Bombers vs. Elks Prediction: CFL Week 11 Point Spread, Odds

After last Friday’s 30-3 dominance over the Elks, the Blue Bombers will be looking to sweep the three game season series in Edmonton on Friday night at Commonwealth Stadium.

CFL Odds and Betting

Overall, the Blue Bombers are 6-1 against the spread in the last seven games against the Elks. In two games this season, they have outscored the Elks 67-25 including a 37-22 and the Blue and Gold won both games for Edmonton in the 2019 season.

The under has been in play in 10 of the last 14 games. The Bombers opened as 13.5-point favourites at Sports Interaction with a game total of 43.5.

The Blue Bombers can officially become the first CFL to clinch a playoff spot with a win on Friday night.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Andrew Harris finally recorded his first 100+ rushing yard game of the season with a terrific 150-yard effort on 24 carries plus two touchdowns. He was named a CFL Top Performer of the week for his efforts. Harris now has 584 yards rushing in only six games for an average of 97.33 yards per game this season.

The Bombers defence has been nothing short of amazing this season. They have allowed a league-low 110 points in nine games for an average of 12.22 points per game.

The team’s kicking game continues to struggle and struggle badly. Ali Mourtada was just one of four in the field goal department with misses from 42, 46 and 47 yards. Mourtada also missed a convert on Bombers second touchdown of the game. However, Head Coach Mike O’Shea said this week that he will stick with his kicker.

Edmonton Elks

A bad season got worse for the Elks last Friday in Winnipeg. Edmonton recorded its fourth consecutive loss of the year and also their lowest offensive output (three points) in a game this season.

The Elks under Quarterback Trevor Harris managed 196 total offensive yards against the Bombers. Harris was 9-of-22 for 87 yards passing and was pulled from the game in the 4th quarter. For that effort Head Coach Jamie Elizondo told the media that Taylor Cornelius and Dakota Prukop will be the two quarterbacks used in Friday’s game. Elizondo added that using these two pivots will allow the team to attack the Bombers differently on offence.
