Blue Bombers vs. Alouettes Prediction: CFL Week 12 Point Spread, Odds
It’s been a disastrous stretch for Montreal, who have dropped three games and lost three quarterbacks to injury over the last three weeks. Things have been much better for the Blue Bombers, who have won two of their last three games, including a walk-off 30-27 home victory against Ottawa last week.
Winnipeg is a 4.5-point favourite to win on the CFL odds, with the total pegged at 48.5.

These teams split the season series last year, with the road team claiming each win. Of course, they also met in the 2023 Grey Cup game, which Montreal won as a seven-point favourite.
The Bombers haven’t exactly been lights out away from home as they are just 1-3 on the road compared to 4-1 at home. Higher scoring games have been the one constant, with the Over hitting in six of Winnipeg’s last seven games.
It hasn’t been smooth sailing for the Alouettes at home this season, where they are 2-3 straight up and 1-4 against the spread. Of course, it’s been all downhill for a few weeks. Montreal is just 2-5 since beginning the year 3-0 and they’ve been outscored 93-46 on their current three-game slide.
Both these teams have dropped in the Grey Cup odds since the start of the season and now sit firmly middle-of-the-pack. The Als are +500 to win the Grey Cup on the CFL futures board, while the Bombers are +1500.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Sergio Castillo’s field goal as time expired sealed the deal for Winnipeg in Week 11, but for the second straight week, they blew a big lead. The Blue Bombers led Ottawa 17-0 after the first quarter and 20-3 at halftime, but managed to let the RedBlacks rally late just a week after Calgary secured a late comeback win over Winnipeg.
Overall, it’s been an up-and-down season for the Blue Bombers, who are looking to reach the Grey Cup championship game for a sixth straight season. Winnipeg started 3-0 before suffering back-to-back blowout losses against Calgary and the team hasn’t been consistent since.
Part of the problem could come down to the inconsistency of quarterback Zach Collaros, who has dealt with multiple injuries. Collaros hasn’t thrown multiple TDs in a game since Week 4 and he’s thrown at least two interceptions in five of seven games.
Montreal Alouettes
Montreal lost yet another quarterback in last week’s 36-18 blowout loss in BC. Caleb Evans suffered a knee injury in the second quarter that was later diagnosed as a torn ACL, which will end his season. James Morgan took over for Evans against the Lions, throwing for 211 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
In addition to Evans, regular starter Davis Alexander (hamstring) and backup McLeod Bethel-Thompson (elbow) are both on the six-game injured list. That leaves a quarterback room of Morgan, Cameron Dukes (signed on Aug. 13) and Shea Patterson (signed this week). There’s been no word on a starter for Thursday.
The injury issues don’t stop at the quarterbacks. Receivers Austin Mack and Tyson Philpot have also missed time, along with safety Marc-Antoine Dequoy and cornerback Kabion Ento.
