Argonauts vs. Tiger-Cats Prediction: CFL Week 10 Point Spread, Odds
The Argonauts rolled to a decisive 34-20 victory over the visiting Tiger-Cats last week, and now sport a four-point lead over both Hamilton and the Montreal Alouettes.
The Argonauts have made steady gains since opening as 2-point underdogs. With Toronto garnering a slim 52% majority of the betting action, this contest is now pegged as a pick ‘em, with the Argos now sporting -115 odds. The Ti-Cats currently lag as a -105 moneyline bet. And while the total has held steady at 46.0, the OVER continues to command 75% of placed bets.
CFL Week 10 Odds and Betting
Friday night’s matchup at Tim Hortons Field marks the second of four regular season meetings between these long-time rivals. Toronto has claimed outright wins in four of five dates with the Ti-Cats, with the notable exception being their stunning 27-19 loss as 2.5-point home chalk in last season’s Eastern Final. And despite their recent head-to-head success, the Argonauts have plenty of work to do to reverse their fortunes when visiting Hamilton, where they have tallied just two wins in 13 overall visits since Labour Day 2012. However, the Argos have managed to produce respectable results at the sportsbooks when playing in Steeltown, going 3-2-1 against the spread over their past six. The OVER has steadily paid out when these teams meet in Hamilton, going 6-2-0 over their past eight dates. That run has been fueled by a steady Ti-Cats attack, which has averaged 33 points per game over that stretch.

Toronto Argonauts
After stumbling out of the gate to a 1-2-0 start, the Argos have rounded into form, claiming straight up wins in three of their past four outings to set themselves apart from the rest of the underachieving East Division. However, this team continues to put themselves at risk by spotting opponents early leads. That was the case once again in last week’s date with the Tiger-Cats, who twice established double-digit leads before the Argonauts rebounded with 18 points in the fourth quarter to seal the win. Considering they have tallied just six total first-quarter points over their past four games, the Argonauts offer limited value as 0.5-point favorites to lead at the half, and a -120 bet to score first.
Hamilton Tiger-Cats
With last week’s loss at BMO Field, 2022 is quickly evolving into a lost season for the Tiger-Cats. Grey Cup finalists in 2021, the Ti-Cats have posted just two wins through their first eight outings, and have also gone 2-6-0 against the spread, and covered just once in four outings as betting chalk. The club has struggled on both sides. Hamilton currently ranks seventh in the CFL in both points scored (20.1) and points allowed (26.1) per game. With the health status of Dane Evans now uncertain after the Tabbies pivot reportedly suffered a shoulder injury. That opens the door for backup Matthew Shiltz to get the call on Friday. Shiltz has seen limited action in his first season with the Tiger-Cats, connecting on just 16 passes for 125 yards, no touchdowns, and one pick. The absence of Evans will also add to the pressure on a Ti-Cats ground game that tallied just 78 total yards last week, and produced just three total scoring runs so far this season.
