CFL Odds and Betting

These two teams met back in week 11 in Toronto (August 20) with the Stampeders walking away with a 22-19 victory. Ironically, it was the last time Quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell saw the field. Since that time, Jake Maier has taken over the starting position and has played well. He is 4-2 in six games.
The Argos have played well in Calgary as of late, going 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 games at McMahon Stadium. However, the Stamps are 5-1 straight up in the last six games against the Argos.
The Stampeders opened as 5.5-point favourites at Sports Interaction.
Toronto Argonauts
The Argos are 8-5 on the season (8-4-1 ATS) and a respectable 4-2 on the road this season.
Toronto hasn’t locked up the East Division just yet, but do have a four-point lead over second place Montreal. The Boatman enter this contest as winner of four in a row. They have outscored opponents 134-62. In fact, the last time the Boatmen lost a game was against the Stampeders, back in August.
The Argos had two players, McLeod Bethel-Thompson and defensive back Maurice Carnell IV, were named as CFL top performers for Week 16. The Argos crushed the Redblacks 45-15.
Receiver Cam Phillips will be back in the starting lineup this week. The wideout hurt his groin in the pre-game against the Tiger-Cats last month. It landed Phillips on the six-game injured list.
Calgary Stampeders
The Stampeders are 9-5 on the season (6-7-1 ATS) and 3-3 on home turf this season.
Calgary secured a playoff appearance for a club-record 17th straight season in Week 16. The streak is tied for fourth-longest in CFL history.
Its been an interesting week in Calgary as the Stamps signed Quarterback Jake Maier to a contract extension. Clearly, he is locked in as the Stampeders’ quarterback of the future. So, does this mean the end of Bo Levi Mitchell’s era in Calgary? It seems that way.
Running back Ka’Deem Carey sat out practice (illness) earlier this week. The league’s leading rusher (857 yards) is expected to start Saturday night.
