Alouettes vs. Lions Prediction: CFL Week 15 Point Spread, Betting Odds
The late game could be an upset alert special as league-leading Montreal visits the B.C. Lions. It’s the second game in a row between the clubs, with the Alouettes at -1.5 on the CFL odds and total of 63.5.
CFL Week 15 Odds and Betting
Only West Division-leading Edmonton is within two wins of Montreal’s 10 victories as it has become the first team to clinch a 2026 playoff spot (with seven weeks to go) and soon will clinch the East Division holding a four-game lead over second-place Toronto. The Alouettes remain clear +190 favourites to capture the Grey Cup.
B.C., meanwhile, is sitting at .500 (6-6) in the West and likely won’t catch Edmonton or second-place Saskatchewan in the division, so the best hope is third. The Lions and Winnipeg Blue Bombers are tied for that, but B.C. wins the tiebreaker as of now. The Lions are +650 for the Grey Cup.
This concludes the season series with Montreal winning at home last Friday, 37-30 as a 4.5-point favourite (total was 61.5) as the Als rebounded from their worst performance of the season in Week 13, a blowout loss at Winnipeg. B.C. entered on a five-game winning streak this year and had won the past six in the series overall. Montreal’s previous win was also home in September 2022. It hasn’t won away in the series since way back in 2015.
Montreal Alouettes
As noted, the Alouettes were 37-30 home winners against B.C. last Friday to kick off Labour Day Weekend as Montreal improved to 7-0 at home – remaining the only unbeaten in the regard, and that victory clinched at least one home playoff game. Als quarterback Davis Alexander, the -195 favourite for the CFL Most Outstanding Player Award, completed 25 of 34 passes for 297 yards and a touchdown. Per usual, Tyson Philpot was his main target with eight catches for 98 yards, but fellow wideout Tyler Snead blew up with seven catches for 69 yards and a score along with a short rushing TD. Rookie running back Liam Talbot had his first pro touchdown in his second game. Defensively, linebacker Tyrice Beverette was the key guy. He had an interception of Nathan Rourke in the third quarter that he returned 75 yards for a touchdown and also had a big second-down stop on Zander Horvath later in the game. Montreal is 6-1 ATS following a win.
BC Lions
Lions QB Nathan Rourke was quite good in the loss to Montreal, completing 31 of 45 passes for 375 yards, two touchdowns while rushing three times for 31 yards. It was his sixth straight 300-yard passing game, but Rourke’s lone interception was incredibly costly as noted above with Montreal linebacker Tyrice Beverette returning it for a score – which you could argue was the difference as it put the Als up 27-19 after the Lions led 19-10 at one point in the third quarter. Justin McInnis caught all six of his targets for 100 yards and a touchdown, while fellow wideout Jermaine Jackson had seven receptions for 98 yards and a score. But top running back Zander Horvath was held in check with 17 carries for 46 yards and held out of the end zone. The Lions entered in as the top rushing offence in the CFL averaging 123.5 yards per game. “I thought we beat ourselves. Our defence played tremendously,” Rourke said. “Obviously, the (interception) was the big moment in the game.” The Lions actually had zero red-zone opportunities in the game. The over is 8-1 in B.C.’s past nine after a loss. It’s so tough to beat the same team in the CFL or NFL in back-to-back weeks.
