Boxing Odds, Prediction: Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano
Before the circus that is Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson goes down on Friday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, we have a great fight featured as the co-headliner as Ireland’s Katie Taylor takes on Amanda Serrano of Puerto Rico.
Taylor and Serrano first met in April 2022 in the first women’s fight to headline Madison Square Garden. Taylor won by split decision in what was named Fight of the Year by Sports Illustrated.
Despite losing the first fight, Serrano is a -200 favourite to win on the boxing odds, with Taylor a +160 underdog.

Katie Taylor Boxing Odds
Taylor is hugely popular in Ireland and she’s been credited with raising the profile of women’s boxing in her home country and around the world. Boasting a 23-1 record, the 38-year-old is considered one of the greatest boxers, female or male, of all-time. She has been the undisputed world lightweight champion since 2019 and the world super lightweight champion since 2023.
Taylor most recently fought Chantelle Cameron in November 2023, winning back the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, IBO and The Ring light welterweight titles she lost to Cameron earlier that year. The majority decision loss to Cameron in May 2023 is the only blemish on Taylor’s record.
Taylor is known for her fast-paced aggressive fighting style. At 38, she’s nearing the end of her career and her speed is diminishing, but she’s only two years older than Serrano and she has a half-inch reach advantage. This is essentially a coin-flip fight, which is great for boxing fans who want to see two all-time warriors slug it out.
Amanda Serrano Boxing Odds
Serrano is one of the most accomplished boxers of all-time, with title wins across seven divisions. She’s 47-2 (one draw) in her career and she is the unified featherweight world champion having held the WBO title since 2019, the IBO title since 2021 and the WBA title since 2023. She also held the IBF title between 2022 and 2024.
Serrano followed up her split decision loss against Taylor with five straight wins, four by unanimous decision and one by second-round TKO. Known for her hard-hitting attack, Serrano has 31 career knocked victories and her only two losses came by decision.
The 36-year-old Serrano narrowly missed out on beating Taylor in their last fight. Serrano had Taylor badly hurt by the fifth round and some commentators scored the fight in Serrano’s favour. This is a big opportunity to add another legacy victory to Serrano’s record.

Who doesn’t love a boxing trilogy? I think that’s what we’re setting up for in this fight. Taylor barely escaped the first fight against Serrano and I think Serrano gets her revenge on Friday, setting the stage for a winner-take-all third fight sometime next year.
