Colts vs. Buccaneers Point Spread: NFL Predictions, Week 14 Odds
Both of these teams are on the outside looking in on a post season opportunity this season. The
Colts have the better chance of making it, but may have to win out. The Bucs on the other hand
want to finish strong in Bruce Arians first year on the Tampa sideline.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Bucs have struggled at home this season with just one win in five games. They’ll face a
Colts team that has been less than spectacular on the road with a mark of 2-3.
Head to head the Colts are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games against the
Buccaneers. They are 4-0 ATS in their last four games in the month of December, but are 0-5
ATS in their last five home games.
The Colts are 1-6-1 in their last eight games when playing teams with sub .500 records. They
are 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine games on the road.
Indianapolis Colts
The Colts are on the outside looking in at a post season position in the AFC. They enter this
game with the Buccaneers in a must win situation, one game back of the Steelers for the last
wild card spot in the conference.
They have lost two straight entering this game. Last week it was a 31-17 setback to the Titans.
In that game the Colts held a 10-7 halftime lead, but watched the Titans score 24 points in the
second half to win the game.
Some massive questions on offence still remain for this team with Marlon Mack, TY Hilton and
Paris Campbell all questionable for this contest. If the team receives a couple of these players
back, it could make a massive difference.
Of note, Tight End Jack Doyle is coming off his best game of the season with a six-catch, 73
yard effort. He also scored a touchdown in the loss to Tennessee.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
For the first time in the Bruce Arians era, the Buccaneers have won consecutive games and on
Sunday the team will look to make it three in a row. For a team that hasn’t been to the playoffs
since 2007, this is a big deal as they enter the final four games remaining on their schedule.
The Bucs are currently 5-7 on the season, tied for second in the division and have a chance to
finish the season over .500.
Jameis Winston has had an interesting year under center to say the least. He is ranked in the
top five in passing yards and touchdowns for a quarterback, but also leads the NFL with 20
interceptions. He has the best receiving duo in the league in Chris Godwin and Mike Evans.
Both are already 1000+ yard receiving and both are likely to finish in the top five when the
season is complete.
The Bucs are ranked 17 th in total defence and a disappointing 31 st in pass defence. The
secondary has been somewhat vulnerable throughout the entire season.
