Liberty vs. Aces Game 3 Betting Odds
The Aces are listed as 2.5-point favorites, with the over/under set at 172 on the odds board.
The Aces crushed the Liberty on Wednesday night in Game 2, at some points leading by as much as 32 points as they coasted to a 104-76 win and the 2-0 series lead. Bad news, history-wise, for the Liberty, as no team has ever come back from an 0-2 series deficit in the WNBA Finals.
New York Liberty
There are several factors to consider when looking at why the Liberty haven’t been able to find their footing in these WNBA Finals. One of the most important problems for New York to solve is it’s inability to get things going from the 3-point line. The Liberty only shot 22.9 percent in Game 2.
Most startling is Sabrina Ionescu’s performance in that regard. In Game 2, she shot just 2 of 7 3-pointers, even though it’s usually one of her specialties. Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones have played well enough, both earning double-doubles in Game 2, but it simply isn’t enough when facing the best team in the league. Stewart finished with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Jones had 22 points and ten rebounds.
Las Vegas Aces
The five starters for Vegas have been instrumental in the Aces’ play so far this season, postseason and finals, each one of them playing over 30 minutes in Game 2.
A’Ja Wilson, the WNBA Defensive Player of the Year, scored 26 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists in Game 2. She played for 31 minutes and shot 62.5% from the field. Teammate Chelsea Gray had a double-double, with 15 points and 11 assists.
Vegas shot 44.8 percent 13-of-29 from the 3-point line and made every single one of their free throws.
