The Indiana Fever head north Tuesday night riding a four-game winning streak, while the Toronto Tempo return home trying to stop a miserable 10-game slide. Indiana enters at 23-12 and has climbed to the top of the Eastern Conference, while Toronto sits 10-23.

The first meeting was all Fever, as Indiana rolled to a 113-91 win in June. The matchup looks even tougher for Toronto this time around, with Julie Allemand, Maria Conde and Nyara Sabally sidelined. Tip-off from Scotiabank Arena is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

The Fever are 10.5-point favourites on the WNBA odds, with the total set at 189.5.

Fever vs. Tempo WNBA Odds and Betting Trends

Indiana has covered comparable spreads in six of its last 10 games, while Toronto has failed to cover +9.5 in eight of its last 10 overall and four straight at home.

The pace should also be brisk. Indiana ranks second in the WNBA in tempo and Toronto sixth. The Fever own the league’s best offensive rating, while the Tempo sit last defensively, making another high-scoring Indiana performance very realistic.

Indiana Fever

Indiana survived Atlanta 95-91 in overtime last time out, with Caitlin Clark scoring 26 points and adding nine assists. Aliyah Boston contributed 18 points and 14 rebounds, continuing a dominant stretch in which she has averaged 17.4 points and 10.8 boards over her past five games.

The matchup is especially favourable inside. Indiana ranks fourth in rebounding while Toronto sits dead last, and the Tempo have struggled badly to protect the glass without Conde and Sabally.

Clark’s pick-and-roll chemistry with Boston should also create problems. Clark recorded 14 assists in the first meeting and has reached double-digit helpers in five of her last seven games.

Toronto Tempo

Toronto’s offence can still score, but its defence has collapsed during the losing streak. The Tempo have allowed more than 100 points per game over their recent skid and rank last in the league in defensive rating.

Marina Mabrey remains Toronto’s primary scoring threat after producing 23 points against Dallas, while Brittney Sykes is expected to return and should provide another reliable creator.

The Tempo can shoot, ranking fourth in three-point percentage at 35.5 per cent, but they have struggled everywhere else. Toronto ranks last in rebounding and has allowed opponents to pile up assists, second-chance opportunities and clean looks inside.

A packed Scotiabank Arena could provide an emotional lift, but Toronto’s depleted front-court remains a major concern.

WNBA Prediction: Who Will Win Fever vs. Tempo?

Indiana is in a difficult situational spot after an overtime win and a challenging stretch against Atlanta, Dallas and New York, but the matchup advantages are simply too significant to ignore.

The Fever play faster, rebound better, shoot better from three and own the league’s most efficient offence. Toronto’s inability to defend the interior should allow Boston to control the paint, while Clark can punish double teams and mismatches throughout the night.

Toronto may hang around early in its return home, but Indiana’s depth and offensive firepower should eventually create separation.

Best Bet: Fever -10.5

Final Score Prediction: Fever 103, Tempo 89
