2026 Wimbledon women’s semifinals preview, predictions: Gauff vs. Muchova; Kostyuk vs. Noskova
We have reached the business end of the 2026 Wimbledon tournament, as semifinal Thursday on the women’s side is ready to go.
It is all over for the Canadian contingent, as Felix Auger-Aliassime’s run came to an end in the quarterfinals with an epic five-set loss to 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic. Unlike in the men’s draw, the very top players in the world have long since bowed out of the women’s tournament. Of the four title hopefuls remaining, nobody ranked in the top six is still alive. We are down to Coco Gauff, Karolina Muchova, Marta Kostyuk and Linda Noskova.
Let’s break down the odds for some of the Wimbledon women’s semifinal matchups and discuss the best bets to make.

Coco Gauff vs. Karolina Muchova best bet: Muchova ML (-116)
Gauff may be the bigger name as a two-time Grand Slam champion and former No. 2 player in the world, but Muchova is favoured for a reason. The Czech won their most recent meeting 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 on the red clay over Stuttgart this spring and now contests this matchup on a surface that is much more favourable for her game. Muchova was already a two-time Wimbledon quarterfinalist prior to arriving in London this summer and she is 10-1 on grass in 2026 with a title in Bad Homburg. Muchova has lost just one set through five matches at this event, and that was to 2024 Wimbledon winner Barbora Krejcikova.
For Gauff, on the other hand, securing a semifinal spot was an immense struggle. The American has been pushed to a third set in each of her past four matches, and she even required a final-set tiebreaker to get past Solana Sierra in the second round. This is Gauff’s first appearance in the Wimbledon semis and she has never reached a single grass-court final on the WTA Tour.
It should also be noted that the serve is obviously the most important shot in tennis – and especially so on grass. Unfortunately for Gauff, it is the primary weakness in her game. The world No. 7 has been broken 12 times during this tournament (seven more than Muchova) and has committed 29 double-faults (21 more than Muchova).
Marta Kostyuk vs. Linda Noskova best bet: Kostyuk ML (-118)
Kostyuk has simply been unconscious since the start of the clay-court swing. The Ukrainian is 21-1 in her last 22 matches, losing only to eventual champion Mirra Andreeva in the French Open semifinals. Kostyuk has dropped just two sets through five rounds at this tournament and is coming off a 6-3, 6-2 beatdown of 2024 Wimbledon runner-up Jasmine Paolini on Wednesday.
Although there is nothing bad to say about Noskova, there are at least a couple of red flags with her compared to her on-fire opponent. The Czech battled through a slightly tougher quarterfinal contest on Wednesday (6-3, 7-5 against Elise Mertens) and has been extended to three sets twice this fortnight – including to a third-set ‘breaker that she won 11-9 against Sorana Cirstea. Noskova also has less experience than Kostyuk on this stage. This is the 21-year-old’s first major semifinal and she had previously advanced past round four of a slam only once.
These two women have faced each other on just one previous occasion, when Kostyuk prevailed 7-6(1), 6-0 this spring in Madrid.
