2026 U.S. Open Quarterfinal Betting Odds, Picks: Carlos Alcaraz -160 favourite to win tournament

The US Open has reached the quarterfinal stage in New York, and the remaining draws are packed with major champions and rising stars.

Carlos Alcaraz remains one of the men’s title favourites, but Ben Shelton has rediscovered his best form at the perfect time. 

On the women’s side, Coco Gauff has yet to drop a set and carries a 10-match winning streak into a fascinating meeting with Mirra Andreeva. 

Meanwhile, Alexander Zverev, has a favourable path developing on his side of the men’s draw.

Carlos Alcaraz vs. Ben Shelton best bet: Ben Shelton moneyline (+320)

This is the aggressive play of the three, but +320 is enough value for me to take a shot on Shelton producing the biggest win of his career.

Alcaraz is 3-0 against Shelton and has looked remarkably sharp after entering New York with questions following a lengthy layoff. He has dropped only one set and broke Tommy Paul three times in a straight-sets fourth-round win.

Still, Shelton looks far more complete than he did in previous meetings. He has 44 aces through four matches, is winning 77.7 per cent of his first-serve points and has generated 154 winners.

Most importantly, he just dismantled Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets while losing only 14 points on serve.

Shelton pushed Alcaraz hard at Roland Garros in 2025 and believes his returning, movement and baseline tolerance have improved since. 

Add the Arthur Ashe Stadium crowd behind him, and this feels like a worthwhile underdog swing.

Alexander Zverev vs. Botic van de Zandschulp best bet: Alexander Zverev to win 3-0 (-120)

Zverev appears to be getting stronger as the tournament progresses.

After some longer matches earlier in the event, he cruised past Luciano Darderi 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 in the fourth round and should arrive significantly fresher than Botic van de Zandschulp.

The Dutchman has spent roughly nine and a half hours on court across his last two matches and needed a dramatic comeback from two sets down against lucky loser Arthur Gea to reach this stage.

That is a difficult turnaround before facing the tournament’s top seed.

If Zverev maintains the level he showed against Darderi, Van de Zandschulp may struggle to extend this beyond three sets.

Coco Gauff vs. Mirra Andreeva best bet: Coco Gauff moneylne (-192)

The American has not dropped a set through four matches and enters this quarterfinal on a 10-match winning streak after winning Cincinnati before arriving in New York. She handled Iva Jovic 6-1, 6-4 in the fourth round and appears increasingly comfortable both serving and defending.

Gauff is 5-0 against Andreeva at WTA Tour level. Andreeva has certainly closed the gap and pushed Gauff harder in their more recent meetings, but Gauff’s movement remains a major differentiator.

Andreeva needed three sets to get past Anastasia Potapova, while Gauff has been spending far less time under pressure.

Both players can defend, transition and change patterns, but Gauff is covering the court exceptionally well right now and her improved second serve makes it harder for opponents to attack her traditionally weaker side.

At -192, I’ll back the player in better form with the dominant head-to-head record.
