2025 U.S. Open Odds and Betting Preview: Women’s Singles Picks and Best Bets

It’s the final Grand Slam of the 2025 tennis season – glory’s last shot, so to speak. Coco Gauff was the 2023 champion, and she is looking to secure a second major title this year after previously triumphing at the French Open.

Americans have won two of the first three slams in 2025, as Madison Keys prevailed at the Australian Open. Iga Swiatek, who won Wimbledon last month, cemented herself as one of the women to beat in New York by capturing the Cincinnati title a week ago. Yes, there are a lot of legitimate contenders to win it all in the Big Apple. Let’s break down the odds and discuss the best bets to make.

U.S. Open Women’s Singles Odds

Like the men’s side with Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, there is a group of two women that is well ahead of the rest. However, Swiatek and defending champion Aryna Sabalenka are not as massive favourites as Sinner and Alcaraz. There could be some openings for relative outsiders to make noise in the women’s draw.

Among those looking to challenge Swiatek and Sabalenka are Gauff, Keys, Mirra Andreeva, Elena Rybakina, two-time U.S. Open champion Naomi Osaka, and recent Montreal champion Victoria Mboko. Russia’s Andreeva and Canada’s Mboko are teenage sensations who may be ready to win right now.

Here is the short list of favourites to lift the women’s singles trophy at Flushing Meadows:

  • Iga Swiatek +280
  • Aryna Sabalenka +300
  • Coco Gauff +950
  • Mirra Andreeva +1200
  • Elena Rybakina +1300
  • Naomi Osaka +1900
  • Madison Keys +2200
  • Victoria Mboko +2200
  • Amanda Anisimova +2500
  • Emma Raducanu +2700
  • Jasmine Paolini +4500
  • Jessica Pegula +4500
  • Clara Tauson +5500

U.S. Open Women’s Singles Best Bet: Iga Swiatek to win at +280 odds

In the early stages of her career, Swiatek was thought to be a serious factor only on clay. Well, that has changed in a big way. The 24-year-old Pole indeed remains at her best on the terre battue, but to say that she is also a force on hard courts and grass would be an understatement. Swiatek was the U.S. Open champion in 2022, and she triumphed at Wimbledon earlier this summer.

The world No. 2 stayed hot with her Cincinnati title, and she followed that up with a trip to the U.S. Open mixed doubles final – partnering Casper Ruud. Swiatek has a favourable draw in New York with a struggling Gauff in her half, while Sabalenka, Rybakina, Andreeva, and Mboko are on the other side.

U.S. Open Women’s Singles Prediction: Madison Keys to win at +2200 odds

Keys is generally a player you want to avoid on the individual match market, while flocking to the betting window when it comes to the futures market. That’s because of her high-risk, high-reward style. One of the biggest hitters on tour, Keys can lose to almost anyone on any given day but can also beat even the best players in the world when her game is clicking.

It certainly clicked earlier this season at the Aussie Open, where she defeated Sabalenka, Swiatek, Rybakina, and Danielle Collins en route to her first Grand Slam title. Keys finished runner-up at the U.S. Open in 2017, and she has reached the semifinals two other times since then. The 30-year-old American simply loves playing in front of the home crowd.
