2025 French Open Men’s Final: Jannik Sinner vs. Carlos Alcaraz Tennis Odds, Prediction

The French Open men’s final Sunday is chalk just like Saturday’s women’s matchup was as No. 1 seed Jannik Sinner of Italy faces No. 2 seed and defending champion Carlos Alcaraz of Spain from the red clay of Roland Garros. Both players are priced -110 to win on the French Open tennis odds.

Sinner vs. Alcaraz French Open Odds

Hopefully you enjoy this weekend of tennis at the French Open in Paris because it’s very rare these days to have both the women’s and men’s final feature the top two seeds. Sunday’s men’s championship match will be the first Grand Slam men’s singles final in history between players born in the 2000s.

Of course, then all the professionals turn their eyes to the grass-court season and the next major: Wimbledon, which starts June 30 in London.

In the semifinals, world No. 1 Jannik Sinner knocked off the legendary and sixth-seeded Novak Djokovic, 6-4, 7-5, 7-6 (3). Djokovic was trying for a record-extending 38th Grand Slam final and eighth in Paris, where he was won three times. But the 38-year-old was essentially run ragged all over the court by the 23-year-old Sinner.

His power and precision from the baseline and on serve overwhelmed Djokovic. Sinner has now won 20 straight matches in Grand Slam events as he’s the reigning champion at the U.S. Open and this year’s Australian Open. It’s Sinner’s first final in Paris, and the only Italian man to win the French in the Open era was Adriano Panatta in 1976. Sinner owns three Grand Slam titles total (also 2024 Aussie Open).

Clay courts are prevalent in Spain, which likely helps explain why Spaniards have won this tournament a record by-far 21 times in the Open era. The retired Rafael Nadal is responsible for a record 14 of those; he was honoured at the start of this year’s event.

The 22-year-old Alcaraz naturally grew up idolizing Nadal and tries for his fifth career Slam and second straight in Paris (also won 2022 U.S. Open and Wimbledon the past two years; he’s 4-0 all-time in Slam finals).

Alcaraz led 4-6, 7-6 (3), 6-0, 2-0 against No. 8 seed Lorenzo Musetti in the semifinals when the Italian retired with a leg injury. Down 5-0 in the third set, Musetti called for a trainer to receive treatment on his upper left leg. After that, he continued reaching for his leg and was eventually unable to continue. Alcaraz improved to 33-2 on clay since last May with two clay titles in 2025.

Amazingly, this marks the first matchup between Sinner and Alcaraz in a Grand Slam final, although two most recent encounters have come in a championship match. The last was about three weeks ago in Rome, with Alcaraz winning 7-6 (5), 6-1. It was his fourth straight victory in the series to improve to 7-4 in it.
