James Cook Over 79.5 rushing yards
Let’s start with Bills running back James Cook trucking through Tampa Bay’s defence on Sunday. Cook has absolutely cooked, no pun intended, through the first half of the season, averaging just over 100 rushing yards per game and topping 79.5 yards in six of nine contests.
The Chiefs and Panthers boast relatively similar rushing defences as the Buccaneers and Cook just put up 114 yards two weeks ago against Kansas City and 216 yards the week before against Carolina.
The Bucs will be Cook’s next victim.
Dillon Gabriel Over 0.5 interceptions
Despite back-to-back losses to the Jets and Patriots, Cleveland is sticking with Dillon Gabriel at quarterback. I’ll fade the Browns pivot this week in the hopes it leads to the sideshow that would result from Cleveland swapping Gabriel for Shedeur Sanders.
Gabriel threw two picks against the Pats two weeks ago and I’m banking on Baltimore forcing him to make at least one mistake. The Ravens have 10 turnovers in their last five games and they’re playing desperate, aggressive football.
Rashid Shaheed Over 35.5 receiving yards
Rashid Shaheed only had one reception for three yards in his first game with the Seahawks last week, but I think he’ll be utilized more against the division-rival Rams. Shaheed has another week of learning the playbook under his belt and he’s topped 34.5 receiving yards in seven of 10 games this season.
Shaheed also just faced L.A. two weeks ago when he was still with the Saints, picking up 68 yards on five receptions. With Jaxon Smith-Njigba likely drawing double coverage and a much better quarterback in Sam Darnold throwing the ball, there will be opportunities for Shaheed on Sunday.
Brandon Aubrey Over 2.5 extra points
Why not close out the week with the least respected position in football, the kicker? There’s sneaky value in taking Brandon Aubrey as he’s averaging 3.7 extra points per game and he’s topped this number in five of the last six weeks.
The Cowboys boast the fourth-highest scoring offence in the NFL, which should set Aubrey up for at least a few extra point opportunities against a Raiders scoring defence that ranks bottom-third.
