2025 NFL Odds: Browns’ Myles Garrett on pace to break single-season sacks record

It may be a season to forget for the 3-8 Cleveland Browns, but it could be one to remember for defensive end Myles Garrett, who is on pace to set a new NFL single-season record for sacks.

Myles Garrett

Garrett has been among the NFL’s best defensive players every year since the Browns drafted him first overall in 2017.

The 29-year-old has been even better this year, racking up 18 sacks in 11 games, including 14 in the last five games. With six games left on Cleveland’s schedule, Garrett is five sacks away from breaking the single-season record of 22.5, shared by Hall-of-Famer Michael Strahan and current Steelers star T.J. Watt.

To put more context behind Garrett’s performance this year, his 18 sacks matches Cincinnati’s entire team total and it beats Carolina’s 16 sacks and San Francisco’s 13.

It should be no surprise to see Garrett as a heavy -1000 favourite to win Defensive Player of the Year.

Cleveland Browns

Sitting dead last in the AFC North, the Browns are all but eliminated from playoff contention and they would have to win-out to avoid a losing record.

Cleveland is back in action on Sunday as a 4.5-point home underdog against the San Francisco 49ers. You can see our full game preview and prediction here.
