Premier League odds: Chelsea vs. Liverpool bets and predictions
Matchday Seven of the Premier League presents a classic Chelsea Blues vs Liverpool Reds clash in one of this season’s most highly anticipated games. Chelsea looks to climb the table, Liverpool looks to defend their title, and all the drama is gearing up for this game after both sides concluded an exhausting week of Champions League.
The game kicks off at 12:30 pm ET on Saturday, so prepare yourself for one of the oldest English classics in soccer after reviewing my exclusive picks for the game below.
Chelsea vs. Liverpool Odds and Betting Trends
Now is a better time than ever for eighth-place Chelsea to topple first-place Liverpool’s confidence and force them to drop points and shake up the standings. In their last five meetings, Liverpool have come out victorious three times, one of them in the Carabao Cup Finals in 2024, where they snatched a late 119’ 1-0 game winner. The two sides have drawn once, with Chelsea winning their last meeting 3-1 in May 2025.
For those five games, 14 goals hit the back of the net in total. Liverpool were in incredible form for the first five games of the 2025 season, but have since then slipped to Crystal Palace last weekend and Galatasaray in the Champions League. Today, Chelsea enters their home arena as +190 contenders on the Premier League odds board, while Liverpool hits +125, with a draw set at +260. Odds indicate that the Under 3.5 is more likely tonight (-175), but you can never count out the Over 3.5 possibility either (+125).
Liverpool
First-place Liverpool has faltered in recent games, as they continue an uncharacteristic two-game losing streak initiated by a 2-1 loss to undefeated Crystal Palace. They entered the Champions League this week to suffer another 1-0 loss to Galatasaray, before lining up against their future opponents at Chelsea.
Hugo Ekitike has proven extremely useful upfront for Liverpool, not just in the EPL with three goals, but in the Carabao Cup third round with a 2-1 game-winner over Southampton on September 23. However, his status for this game is up in the air after suffering a minor muscle injury against Galatasaray. He comes in behind Alexander Isak (+160) to score anytime at +170, but last season’s Golden Boot winner, Mohamed Salah (two goals), is close at +180.
Chelsea
The Blues’ time to strike is now, as they bounced back from a 3-1 loss to Brighton last week with a crucial 1-0 win in the Champions League over Benfica. If there’s any time to kick off an inspiring win against the league leaders and longtime rivals of Liverpool, it’s at Stamford Bridge, and three points for Chelsea will be vital in the long run.
While Enzo Fernandez (anytime goalscorer at +300) leads the Blues with three goals in the EPL so far, Joao Pedro has had an impeccable season after six games, scoring two goals with three assists, and he’s marked to score anytime at +215. While new signing Garnacho only has one Premier League game under his belt, he’s looking at a +290 price line to score anytime in this match.
Soccer Prediction: Who Will Win Chelsea vs. Liverpool?
It’s a tough prediction to make, but Chelsea takes a massive home-field advantage tonight on the upside. However, Liverpool is not a team to falter under any amount of stress, and I think both sides are likely to find the back of the net at least once today, with Mohamad Salah surely to light up the pitch with at least 1+ goals at +180.
With that said, I’m expecting a 2-2 draw today, and regardless of what happens, I believe Chelsea will cover the +0.5 spread at -165.
