EPL Soccer Picks, Predictions and Best Bets: Arsenal looking to add to lead atop table
This weekend of EPL fixtures includes several large-scale matchups when last year’s top-placing English clubs return from a hard week of Champions League football. Arsenal continues to top the English league by a six-point margin, with City climbing into second after last week.
Matchday 11 of the EPL presses on with City and Liverpool butting heads, Manchester United looking to disrupt Tottenham, and Arsenal taking on fourth place Sunderland – as Viktor Gyokeres finds a way to add to his goal tally.
This weekend’s results are sure to shake up the top four spots in the Premier League, so get ready for another highly anticipated set of English football matches by checking out my best bets for all the top games below.
EPL Manchester City vs. Liverpool best bet: Liverpool Win or Tie double chance (-115)
For eight straight years, it’s been the two clubs of Manchester City and Liverpool taking the Premier League title, and both are in pursuit of the trophy once again. In their five most rivalries, City have won just one, with two draws and two losses. Their most recent clash in February 2025 concluded 2-0 to the Reds.
City (second place) has certainly rallied over the past few weeks of play, with their most recent EPL game finishing with a 3-1 win over Bournemouth. Erling Haaland netted two in the matchup, pushing his total to 13 on the season. The Sky Blues took down Dortmund in the Champions League 4 -1 and find themselves as -110 favourites against Liverpool.
Liverpool (third place) downed Aston Villa last weekend 2-0 before toppling a mighty Real Madrid 1-0 in the Champions League at home. They enter the fray at the Etihad Stadium against City with +260 odds to win. Liverpool will have spirits high after taking out Madrid, and considering how close these intense matchups have been in the past, a draw (+300) seems probable, which makes the Liverpool spread at +0.5 (-110) seem fair to me.
EPL Tottenham vs. Manchester United bet: Manchester United ML (+138)
Sixth-place Spurs take on the eighth-place United Red Devils for the first time since Tottenham’s 1-0 victory at home in February 2025. In their last four consecutive meetings, Tottenham has come out victorious. In fact, United has failed to beat the Spurs since October 2022.
Despite Tottenham having a magnificent 4-0 showing over Copenhagen in the Champions League at home, the Spurs (+175) have only claimed four points in their five home games this season. They lacked answers in their last 1-0 loss to Chelsea, who promptly exposed their vulnerability at their own Hotspur Stadium.
Manchester United have had an on-and-off season so far, yet they have won three of their last four matches (drawing 2-2 to Nottingham Forest most recently), including a 2-1 away win over Liverpool on October 19. Their form is good, but slightly tender, although with how poorly Tottenham has performed at home this season, and United’s willingness to get up for big games, I’m thinking this one will end 1-0 in favour of the Red Devils at +138.
EPL best player prop bet: Viktor Gyokeres Anytime Goalscorer in Sunderland vs. Arsenal (+160)
The 27-year-old Swedish striker brought back his goalscoring form for the Gunners with a goal in Arsenal’s most recent Premier League matchup against Burnley. He’s netted four so far this season, with two in the Champions League after three games, so why not score again this afternoon?
It won’t be easy with Sunderland’s defence only allowing eight goals this season, but I know Gyokeres gets up for big games, and he’s got a shot at scoring tonight at an attractive +160 odds.
