2022 World Cup Tournament Odds and Team Rankings

World Cup Odds and Rankings

Canada enters the World Cup ranked No. 41 by FIFA and sits at +12,400 on the tournament odds.  Interestingly, there are six teams higher than Canada in the world rankings, that have longer odds to win the World Cup, including Australia (No. 38, +21,500), Costa Rica (No. 31, +44,900), Tunisia (No. 30, +30,400), South Korea (No. 28, +15,200), Japan (No. 24, +15,100) and Iran (No. 20, +30,00).

World No. 1 Brazil is also the World Cup favourite at +211, while No. 2 Belgium drops all the way to ninth on the odds board at +1,075.  Defending World Cup champion France is ranked No. 4 in the world and has the third-best odds at +419.  Host country Qatar is ranked No. 50 and has the sixth-longest odds to win at +15,700.  The lowest ranked team in the tournament is Ghana at No. 61, while it’s actually world No. 31 Costa Rica that has the longest tournament odds at +44,900.
