Liverpool vs. Brighton best bet: Draw (+270)

Liverpool are tasked with their toughest challenge in the league since their defeat to City, with the Reds coming in as slight +115 favourites to take out their Seagull opponents.

Andoni Iraola’s side has managed well given many players recovering from minor injuries, as the side enters kick-off on a fresh three-game win streak in all competitions after their 4-3 nail-biter against Villarreal in the Champions League. Last weekend, the Reds made their mark in the domestic league with three points claimed on the road in a 2-1 victory against Brentford, due to a snapshot game-winner from Alexander Isak.

Alexis Mac Allister, Bradley Barcola, Isak, and Florian Wirtz have all played a major part in Liverpool’s recent success, helping the team net 12 goals in their three most recent games this month. The challenge in this matchup will be shutting down Brighton’s full-force offence.

As for the pummelling Seagulls, Brighton sit at the highest placement in the league (third) that they’ve ever seen, with not only the highest goal tally (23) but the highest GD as well (18), as they head to Anfield as +210 underdogs for this one.

So far this season, Brighton has only suffered one loss to the hands of Chelsea back in August, where the side still scored three goals. Since their ensuing 1-1 draw to Leeds at the beginning of September, the side has entered a six-game winning streak in all competitions, with their most recent showing ending in a no-mercy 5-0 result against Crystal Palace with four different goalscorers hitting the scoresheet (and one OG).

Pascal Gross, Charalampos Kostoulas, and Jack Hinshelwood all have three goals apiece, and a victory for the Gulls here would lead to a monumental swing on the table.

However, Liverpool are starting to hit their groove, almost reborn since their loss to City, and coming back with high spirits after staying unbeaten in the Champions League. Brighton will surely score more than once, but at the home of the Reds, this one is locked for a draw.

Arsenal vs. Everton best bet: Arsenal ML (-235)

Arsenal lineup at their home, Emirates Stadium, for this one as -235 favourites to take on formidable opponents, Everton, at this stage.

Since the Gunners’ shocking 3-0 defeat to Brighton in mid-September, the side has gone 2-0 in the EPL, with a shutout in their most recent 1-0 victory against Nottingham Forest on the Oct. 18. On Wednesday in the Champions League, the Gunners took on Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich with Declan Rice serving as the hero of the afternoon after sealing the 82′ equalizer to draw the game 2-2.

Mikel Arteta’s men have conceded just five goals so far this domestic league campaign, only letting three of their seven opponents find the back of the net past David Raya so far.

As for the Toffees, Everton don’t have their focus shifted to the Champions League this season, and have done considerably well given some of the opponents they’ve faced this season. However, they are +625 long shots to take the victory on away soil for this one.

Sunday, Oct. 11 saw the Toffees close out their fourth draw of the season to Hull, before falling 2-0 to Chelsea at home most recently on the Oct. 17.

Out of the team’s eight goals so far this season, Thierno Barry and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall account for five, and will certainly have targets on their back for this one, with Barry scoring in two of his last three EPL fixtures.

With just how defensively sound Arsenal are and their home field advantage, coming back to the EPL after a respectable 2-2 draw against one of the best teams in Europe, it’s looking like a surefire win for the Gunners here.

Erling Haaland to score anytime (-112)  in Aston Villa vs. Manchester City

The Norwegian forward leads the EPL with eight of his team’s 19 goals so far this season. He’s scored in big games recently, including against United, Liverpool, and PSG, while extending his streak to eight straight games in all competitions whenever he’s on the field. So, it’s not a matter of whether he’ll score this weekend against Villa, but when.
