Vancouver Whitecaps vs. LA Galaxy: MLS Betting Odds, Picks and Predictions
The Vancouver Whitecaps look to bounce back from a rare home loss when they host the LA Galaxy at BC Place on Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. ET.
Vancouver remains atop the Western Conference at 13-5-4 with 43 points despite falling 3-1 to St. Louis City SC on Saturday. Emmanuel Sabbi gave the Whitecaps the lead less than two minutes into the match, but St. Louis responded with three unanswered first-half goals.
The Galaxy improved to 7-9-8 with 29 points after beating New England 2-1 Saturday. Marco Reus scored from the penalty spot before Robert Taylor recorded his first Galaxy goal later in the half.
The teams played to a 1-1 draw in their first meeting this season on May 2, with Mathías Laborda scoring Vancouver’s 82nd-minute equalizer.

Vancouver is a heavy favourite at home at -334 on the MLS odds, with the draw at +500. The Galaxy are available at +800. However, those odds are similar to what St. Louis was getting before Saturday’s 3-1 triumph.
The Whitecaps are 8-3-1 at BC Place this season, but have lost two of their last three league matches there. Including the Leagues Cup, Vancouver has dropped four of five at home.
Vancouver has outscored its opponents 49-21 through 22 MLS matches and owns a Western Conference-best +28 goal differential. The 12th-place Galaxy are 2-4-3 since the World Cup break.

Saturday’s loss snapped Vancouver’s two-game MLS winning streak and ended a run of consecutive league clean sheets against FC Dallas and Sporting Kansas City.
Sabbi scored his fifth goal across all competitions. Brian White returned as a halftime substitute after missing time with a head injury and remains Vancouver’s leading scorer with 13 MLS goals.
Thomas Müller has added seven league goals, while captain Ryan Gauld came off the bench against St. Louis.
Vancouver has allowed just 21 goals in 22 MLS matches despite surrendering seven combined in losses to Cincinnati and St. Louis.
LA Galaxy
The Galaxy arrive with some momentum after going 2-1-1 over their last four MLS matches, including Saturday’s 2-1 victory over New England.
Reus scored his fourth MLS goal of the season Saturday, while Hirving Lozano assisted Taylor’s goal after scoring his first for the Galaxy in a 3-1 loss to San Diego.
LA added several experienced players during the summer, including Lozano, Taylor and Sergi Roberto, who made his first Galaxy start Saturday.
The Galaxy were outshot 25-7 by New England and allowed eight shots on target, with goalkeeper JT Marcinkowski making seven saves.
Vancouver also outshot LA 19-7 in their first meeting despite settling for the draw.

The Galaxy have upgraded their roster and enter after an encouraging victory, but allowing that much pressure against New England could be a major problem at BC Place.
Vancouver created the better chances when these teams met in May and should have White and Gauld available after both recently missed time.
