Inter Miami vs. New England Revolution MLS Preview and Prediction

Last year’s Cup champions are back against a valiant New England side this year as second-place takes on third in the East for an exhilarating conference cracker. This is as fair a matchup as it gets, with both sides boasting five wins apiece and a similar goal differential, meaning anything could happen in this one.

Watch as the New England Revolution seek glory at Chase Stadium in Miami in one of their toughest matchups yet, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday night.

Inter Miami vs. New England Revolution MLS Odds and Betting Trends

In 10 total matchups, Inter Miami stays dominant with seven wins to the Revs’ three. New England hasn’t defeated the Herons since June 2023, and it’s been Inter Miami’s fixture with four straight wins for the last four meetings. A draw has never occurred in this fixture, and the last shutout between the two sides was back in the 2022 season.

Inter Miami is expected to win this one as huge -255 favourites on the MLS odds, with the Revs seeking a major upset at +500. A draw is also far from likely, marked at +390, and with at least three goals per game in the last six meetings, you can expect over 2.5 goals.

Inter Miami

The 2025 MLS Cup champions won’t take this matchup lightly, despite beating their opponents 4-1 last October. With Lionel Messi and company on the pitch, the Herons have averaged over two goals a game for their last five matches, as well as hit a 10-game undefeated streak. The Floridian side now takes a major home-field advantage against their opponents, as they nearly top the Eastern Conference with the most goals scored (18), but they’ll also need to watch out defensively, as they’ve allowed many goals this season (14), three more than their New England opponents.

Of course, having the Argentine maestro of Messi average a goal a game this season makes things more reassuring, as last year’s golden boot winner enters this matchup with -190 odds to score. German Berterame only adds to the offensive pressure with two goals now, and is ready to score at +150, while Luis Suarez netted his second of the season last match, and is priced at +160 for this one.

New England Revolution

The Revs make their mark this season with a formidable start after capturing five straight wins. Their first five matches resulted in a 1-1-3 record, but they have since climbed the standings to third place with four straight wins (five if you include their US Open Cup Round of 32 win on penalties against Rhode Island FC) and only two goals allowed in those four. New England heavily enjoys home-field advantage, so Saturday may prove difficult to outshine Messi’s Inter Miami. Still though, 16 goals for with nine in their last five MLS games is a considerable improvement on last seasons 11th palace finish.

Defender Peyton Miller does lead the team with three goals in six games so far, set to score at +1100, but it’s forward Dor Turgeman who leads the team in odds to score at +300 with two goals under his belt. Midfielder Carles Gil has been pivotal for the team since 2019, and he’s set to score anytime at +340 after one goal and three assists already this season.

MLS Prediction: Who Will Win Inter Miami vs. New England Revolution?

Unfortunately for New England, the team’s last three games have been against lacklustre competition (13th-place Montreal, ninth-place Columbus, and 15th palace Atlanta United), and they may likely struggle in Miami territory.

Considering first-place Nashville obliterated the Revs in the season opener, while Miami gave them a run for their money with two consecutive 1-1 draws, Miami’s dominance at home, and their current 10-game unbeaten streak, the Herons are sure to take home another three points here. It’s looking like a 2-1 win for Inter Miami, which also makes the +1.5 Revolution spread a juicy take as well.
