Chicago Fire vs. Toronto FC MLS Odds and Betting Trends

Their records against each other are as close as it gets, with Toronto boasting one more win than the Fire with 14 total before this weekend. Surprisingly, though, Toronto hasn’t beaten its opponents since 2022. These sides have drawn more than half of their 27 meetings, with 14 total, including their last match in October 2025.

The Fire are obvious home favourites on the MLS odds here, priced to win at -220, followed by Toronto’s slimmer chances of +475. While draws have never failed to come out of this matchup, Saturday’s price for a tie is set at +360, with Under 3.5 goals marked at -160.

Chicago Fire

The Fire’s six-game unbeaten streak in all competitions came to a close with their US Open Cup Round of 16 exit at the end of April, sparking many unwanted results at the start of May, including a 3-2 defeat to Cincinnati and a 3-1 loss to the Red Bulls.

They’ve straightened out a bit in their last two matches, achieving a 3-1 victory over D.C. United on May 13, before shutting out Montreal 2-0 in their most recent match last Saturday. Chicago is eying a top-three spot as of late, a feat they’d be ecstatic to achieve before a near two-month break ensues. The Fire have already improved monumentally from the last three seasons, as they now hold 23 points from a 7-2-4 record after 13 games and 25 goals scored, fourth-highest in the conference.

Hugo Cuypers averages over a goal per game as he leads the MLS ahead of Lionel Messi with thirteen in just 10 matches. Count on him finding the back of the net in this one at -140, especially considering his four-game scoring streak with five in his last four straight. Teammate Jason Shokalook follows Cuypuers at +120 odds to score anytime and earn his first goal of the MLS season.

Toronto FC

Toronto hasn’t seen a winning record season for years now, so a victory here would be a great start to climbing back to .500. Much like Chicago, the team does have a game in hand to work with, but that doesn’t excuse them from their struggling record in recent month’s, with the side failing to win a match since their 3-2 victory over the Rapids on April 4.

The squad has looked very shaky in their matchups, allowing 10 goals in their last three in all competitions, part of which contributed to their Canadian Championship exit in just the preliminary round. If they aren’t losing, they’re drawing, with the team accumulating five draws in their last 10 MLS games. They’ll head to the opposing territory once again for the fifth time this season, after only winning one away game so far at Cincinnati.

Much of Toronto’s scoring has been spread out among various players, with the team’s highest scorer, Daniel Salloi (four goals), entering this one priced at +320. Only American striker Joshua Sergeant (two goals) overtakes his teammate in likelihood to score at +280, leaving the squad desperately in need of a true goalscorer to take charge if they want to outplay Chicago here.

MLS Prediction: Who Will Win Chicago Fire vs. Toronto FC?

Chicago will most likely come away unscathed in this matchup for a multitude of reasons. The first being that Toronto has failed to win in their last eight straight in all competitions, and they don’t perform any better on the road.

The other factor to consider is that Chicago boasts much more firepower up front, with Hugo Cuypers running away with an incredible season so far as he leads the MLS in goals. In addition to Cuypers, partner forward Philip Zinckernagel has five goals and six assists, with Maren Haile-Selassie repping three goals and four assists, which gives Toronto a whole lot to worry about on the pitch.

Go with the Chicago Fire moneyline here for the safest option, but the Fire -1.5 (+110) is also a good bang for your buck.
