Inter Miami has quickly righted the ship after an opening week stumble against Los Angeles FC. It took Charlotte FC a little longer, but they got their first win of the young season last week. The two sides meet up tomorrow at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte at 7:30 p.m. ET.

With their new stadium set to officially open next month, Inter Miami will continue to be road warriors after starting the season with two wins in three matches, including last week’s 2-1 triumph over D.C. United in front of more than 72,000 in Baltimore. Charlotte defeated Austin FC, 3-1, to open their 2026 home slate at raucous BOA Stadium, which they expect to be rocking on Saturday.

Charlotte FC vs. Inter Miami Odds and Betting Trends

These teams are split right down the middle. Since Charlotte entered MLS in 2022, both teams have won three games with two draws mixed in. Charlotte has won three of four at home during that time. Both sides won at home in MLS play.

The reigning MLS Cup champions are +100 favourites on the MLS odds despite their record in Charlotte, while the home team is available at +230. The draw is +230. Over 2.5 goals have been scored in each of the Herons’ last 13 MLS matches, hence -167 odds that tomorrow night’s match will continue that trend. Charlotte won here, 3-0, last season.

Charlotte FC

Three goals, including a brace by Spanish midfielder Pep Biel, in last week’s win over Austin, helped wash away the bad taste from a 0-2 start that included a 3-0 spanking from the LA Galaxy the week before. Biel, who had 10 goals and 12 assists last season, already has three goals in three games this year. Israeli striker Idan Toklomati opened his 2026 account against Austin after tallying 11 goals and four assists last year.

Wilfried Zaha, whose loan from Galatasaray expires at the end of June, has two assists in the young season after posting 10 goals and 10 assists last year. The fiery former Crystal Palace standout already has three yellow cards in three games this year as well. Kristijan Kahlina, the 2024 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year, had 12 shutouts in each of the past two seasons for Charlotte. He has yet to post a clean sheet this year.

Inter Miami

Two straight MLS wins are great for the Herons, but Wednesday’s scoreless draw at Nashville in the first leg of a Round of 16 Concacaf Champions Cup series may be more important. That’s because, after conceding six goals in their first three league matches, Miami finally posted a clean sheet, no doubt a relief to Dayne St. Clair, who succeeded Kahlina as MLS Goalkeeper of the Year last season in Minnesota.

Lionel Messi already has three goals. He scored in last week’s 2-1 triumph over D.C., as did fellow Argentinian Rodrigo De Paul, who has been influential since arriving from Atletico Madrid last summer. Centre back Maxi Falcon was injured against Nashville, and coach Javier Mascherano may wish to alter his lineup considerably following the midweek match.

MLS Prediction: Who Will Win Charlotte FC vs. Inter Miami?

Charlotte has not been welcoming to the Herons, who have been blanked in three league losses there since 2022. However, Miami did post a 2-1 victory there in 2024.

Neither side has proven a regular ability to keep the ball out of their own net, so don’t expect that tomorrow.

Look for Messi and Miami to win their third straight, picking up a 2-1 victory in the process.
