The Black and Yellow will need three points to keep their title hopes alive, but they’ll be up against a Bayern squad that’s won 19 of their 23 Bundesliga ties this season.
Can Dortmund make the title race interesting, or will Bayern run away and win the league for the 34th time?

Borussia Dortmund enters this match as +340 underdogs on the Bundesliga odds, while Bayern are -150 favourites, and the draw sits at +340. Oddsmakers expect goals in this one, as the Over/Under is 3.5 with equal -110 odds on both sides, and Both Teams to Score – Yes carries a -260 price. These odds line up with this tie’s history, as the last 10 meetings have featured 3.8 goals per game, and Bayern won the first meeting earlier this season at home 2-1.
The 2024-25 Bundesliga Golden Boot winner, Harry Kane, is the odds-on favourite to score at -140, and the English international will likely take home the award this season, as he has a 15-goal cushion over VfB Stuttgart’s Deniz Undav in second. Kane has scored in five consecutive Bundesliga contests, tallying eight goals in that stretch; he also found the back of the net when these teams met earlier this season.

Although the odds are stacked against Dortmund, they’ve played quite well at home this season. They are unbeaten at Signal Iduna Park in the Bundesliga (9-2-0), and their only defeats have come against Inter Milan in the Champions League (0-2) and Bayer Leverkusen in the DFB-Pokal (0-1). As good as they’ve been at home this season, Bayern has their number lately. The Bavarians are 6-2-2 in their previous 10 visits to Signal Iduna Park, but they’ve gone unbeaten in eight straight visits, and their last defeat was in the 2019 German Super Cup Final.
Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich enters this game on cruise control, as the German giants are 12-2-1 in their last 15 matches in all competitions and have won four straight since drawing with Hamburg 2-2 in matchweek 20. They’ve obviously been led by Kane in the Bundesliga (28 goals and five assists), but the link-up play with Michael Olise (10 goals and 16 assists) and Luis Díaz (13 goals and 10 assists) cannot be understated. A win on Saturday would all but seal another Bundesliga title for Vincent Kompany’s men, barring a total collapse in the last 10 matches.
Bayern has just one defeat all season in the Bundesliga, which came against Augsburg in matchweek 19. They’ve only dropped points in four of their 23 domestic contests this season, and although two of those games came in back-to-back matchweeks, they’ve clearly righted the ship and should cruise again this weekend.
Bundesliga Prediction: Who Will Win Borussia Dortmund vs. Bayern Munich?
Although Dortmund know they need three points to keep their title hopes alive, it’s hard not to think they’ll feel depleted after such an up-and-down fixture in the Champions League midweek. Additionally, Bayern will want to secure the Bundesliga title as soon as possible so they can focus on winning the UCL and DFB-Pokal. Both teams have scored in six of their last seven meetings, so I’ll back this trend on Saturday, but Bayern will take all three points.
