Bayern Munich vs. VfB Stuttgart Bundesliga Preview and Prediction

A DFL Supercup Final rematch from last year occurs as two of the top three teams collide head-on in matchday 30 of the German Bundesliga after a wild week of UEFA Champions League, but it’s Bayern Munich that holds all the marbles as they lead with 76 points, 12 points higher than second-place Borussia Dortmund.

Can Stuttgart dish out Bayern’s second loss of the season on away grounds? Or will the Munich Machines continue their reign of terror in their domestic league? Tune in to the 11:30 a.m. ET kick-off to find out.

Bayern Munich vs. VfB Stuttgart Bundesliga Odds and Betting Trends

Stuttgart has won less than a quarter of these matchups (38) against Bayern, after 164 meetings overall. Bayern are on a level above their opponents as they close in on 100 wins (97) against Stuttgart. A total of 29 draws have occurred in this fixture, with the last one in the 2021/22 season. Bayern dominated their previous meeting 5-0 on away turf in December 2025.

Bayern Munich already has the Bundesliga trophy on lock, 12 points ahead of the next best Dortmund, as they find themselves as -235 favourites on the Bundesliga odds. Stuttgart are major underdogs at +550, with a draw very unlikely as well at +425. Depending on Bayern’s mood, the Over 3.5 could hit at -165, so expect them to pile the net for this one.

VfB Stuttgart

Regardless of their daunting opponents, Stuttgart have been most impressive in the Bundesliga this season, as they sit in third place with 17 total wins. They were, however, knocked out of the Europa League Round of 16 against Porto on March 19, returning to the German league to go 2-1 in their last three, with nine goals to show for, and only a loss to Dortmund on April 4. All stats aside, though, Bayern have been the most consistently dominant team this season in all of Europe, and it will either take plenty of Bayern slip-ups or a near-miracle performance from Stuttgart to see the team come out victorious.

Ermedin Demirovic expects to net his 10th of the season at +215 odds Sunday morning, although his squad has only found the back of the net twice in the last three games against Bayern. Teammate Jamie Leweling is also set to score at +400 odds and give Stuttgart the edge, but they’ll be lucky to come out with even one goal this weekend.

Bayern Munich

Bayern’s focus is hardly on the Bundesliga now, as the impressively talented squad has massive wiggle room after nearly securing their 35th Bundesliga title in history. They’ve also got the UEFA Champions League semifinal to focus on after knocking out Real Madrid 6-4 on aggregate, with a 4-3 win on Wednesday, as well as the DFB-Pokal semifinal upcoming mid-week. The team has scored 12 goals in their last four Bundesliga games alone, with their most recent win on April 11 ending 5-0 over St. Pauli with five separate goal scorers finding the net. This one should be relatively simple for the Die Roten.

Possible Ballon d’Or candidate Harry Kane continues his crusade as he leads Europe’s goalscoring charts with 31 in the Bundesliga and 12 in the Champions League so far. He will most certainly score at -165 odds, followed by the potential for teammates Nicolas Jackson (-110), Luis Diaz (+100), Jamal Musiala (+150), Michael Olise (+160), and plenty more company strike as well.

Bundesliga Prediction: Who Will Win Bayern Munich vs. VfB Stuttgart?

It’s not a matter of “if”, but how much Bayern Munich will win by as the team showcases a whopping 105 goals this season, 45 more than the next best Dortmund. They’ve only lost two games in all competitions this season, one in the Bundesliga, and are currently on a 15-game unbeaten streak.

The last confrontation saw Bayern put five past Stuttgart and shut them out completely. Stuttgart can play near-perfect in this one and still struggle to take away results, given Bayern’s unmatched demeanor this season. Overall, go with the Bayern -1.5 spread at home for this one, although if you’re feeling super confident, take the Bayern Munich over 3.5 total team goals.
