Winnipeg Jets vs. San Jose Sharks NHL Odds, Prediction
Not quite the West Side Story, but for the first time this NHL season it’s the Jets and Sharks from San Jose. The Jets are concluding a four game road trip, with the second game of back to back in California. So far on this trip the Jets are 2-1 in three games. Meanwhile, the Sharks are back on home ice after a stop Friday night in Las Vegas that saw the team drop a 5-4 overtime decision to the Golden Knights.

NHL Odds and Betting Analysis
The Jets and Sharks have met 26 times all-time with the Sharks holding a commanding 17-7-2 lead. To no surprise the Jets haven’t played well at SAP Center, with a winning percentage of .346, they are 4-8-1 in 13 games, allowing an average of more than three goals against per game.
Winnipeg Jets
The Jets are 14-5-3 on the season (7-3-2 on the road), coming off a 4-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks Friday afternoon. The Jets are now 6-2 against the Pacific division, and 10-3 against the Western conference. Bryan Little has six points (two goals, four assists) in his last five games.
Connor Hellebuyck started that game in Anaheim, so expect the Jets to go with Steve Mason in this one. Mason last played in Los Angeles this past Wednesday and stopped the Kings 2-1, kicking out 38 shots in the win. He is 2-3-1 this season, with a goals against of 3.31 and a save percentage of .907.
San Jose Sharks
The Sharks are in the same boat as the Jets, having played in Las Vegas Friday night. They lost to the expansion Golden Knights 5-4 in overtime and now find themselves 11-8-2 in the Pacific division. The goaltending duo of Martin Jones and Aaron Dell have combined for a league-best 2.33 goals-against average through 21 games. Jones was pulled Friday in Vegas, and signs point to Dell getting the call in this one vs. Jets. The Sharks penalty kill has also been rather good through the first quarter of the season, ranked second overall with an 87.5 percentage.
The Sharks have allowed a power-play goal at home in just three of 13 games, and only once in its last eight at SAP Center. Logan Couture leads the Sharks in scoring with 17 points (11 goals, six assists). Last year’s Norris Trophy winner Brent Burns has had a disappointing season to date, with one goal and eight assists in 21 games.
